ABSTRAK
The lahar flow that occurred after the 2012 Gamalama Volcano eruption, leading to the eastern valley flowing downstream through the Togurara River to the center of Ternate City and Sultan Babullah Airport. To overcome the potential of lahar flow in the river since 2013 - 2016, several sabo dams and building facilities have been built. Based on the results of the calculation of deposits that potentially become lahar flows in 2016, the built-in capacity of the Sabodam has not been able to control the volume of sediment in the upstream of the river, then in the year 2017, 2018 constructed several additional Sabodam. In order to determine the effectiveness, feasibility and conditions of the completeness of Sabodam, is done field assessment on 25 ~ 27 September 2018, the method used was a mathematical approach based on sabo technology. The assessment was in the form of a field survey, simple measurements, interviews with the Sabodam management agency and local residents related to the lahar flow that had occurred. With the capacity of several additional Sabodams built in series, the average river bed slope was originally 9.09% to 6.83%. After the construction of Sabodam, the maximum lahar flow was once as high as 7 m, but now it decreases do 4.2 m. As the slope of the Togurara River slopes progressively, the lahar flow rate and its destructive power are reduced, so that Ternate City and Sultan Babullah Airport are spared from lahar disaster.

Sektor pertanian di Kecamatan Muntilan mengalami perubahan akibat banjir lahar dingin Gunung Merapi. Pengaruh dari banjir lahar dingin dilihat berdasarkan sebaran material piroklastik, jarak dari tanggul sungai dan jarak dari hulu sungai. Penelitian ini menggunakan pembagian segmen berdasarkan jarak dari sungai, yaitu 0-100, 100-200, dan 200-300 meter pada setiap desa terdampak banjir lahar dingin. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa kandungan unsur hara material piroklastik yang terbawa oleh aliran Kali Pabelan menguntungkan bagi kesuburan pertumbuhan tanaman. Wilayah terdampak banjir lahar dingin ada yang mengalami kerusakan sehingga dijadikan wilayah tambang pasir, ada pula yang kembali digunakan sebagai lahan pertanian. Luas lahan pertanian yang mengalami kerusakan memiliki jarak sejauh 10-120 meter dari tanggul sungai. Wilayah yang semakin jauh dari hulu sungai memiliki produktivitas yang lebih baik karena unsur hara dan tekstur tanah lebih mendukung untuk lahan pertanian. Komoditas hortikultura dan palawija mengalami peningkatan lebih dari 50%, terutama pada tanaman cabe dan kacang panjang. ...... Agricultural sector in Muntilan District altered by cold lahar flood from Mount Merapi. The influence of cold lahar flood can be seen of pyroclastic material, the distance from the river enbankment and distance from upstream. This research uses segment division based on the distance from the river, that are 0-100, 100-200, and 200-300 meters in every village affected by cold lahar flood. Results from this research showed that the nutrient content of pyroclastic material that was carried away by the flow of Pabelan River gave benefits for plant growth fertility. Region affected by cold lava flood damaged used as sand mining area, some are re-used as agricultural land. Agricultural land were damaged due to cold lahar flood has a distance of 10-120 meters from the river embankment. Further regions from the river upstream has better productivity, because nutrients and soil texture better support for agricultural land. Horticulture and palawija comodity have increased more than 50%, especially chili and beans.

Banjir lahar dingin Gunung Merapi yang terjadi pada tahun 2011 menyebabkan kerusakan lahan pertanian di Kecamatan Salam. Peristiwa ini menyebabkan penduduk yang mayoritas bergantung pada lahan pertanian melakukan adaptasi terhadap lahan pertanian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk adaptasi dan pola yang terjadi pada lahan pertanian terdampak banjir lahar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode grid dengan ukuran 20 x 20 meter. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara purposive sampling. Daerah penelitian adalah wilayah terdampak banjir lahar dibagi berdasarkan jarak dari jalan utama tiap 500 meter. Hasil penelitian ini adalah terdapat dua bentuk adaptasi lahan pertanian yaitu diversifikasi dan intensifikasi. Pola adaptasi penduduk terhadap kondisi lahan pertanian yang terjadi tergantung pada jarak terhadap jalan utama. Semakin dekat dengan jalan utama maka diversifikasi semakin besar dan intensifikasi semakin kecil.
Mount Merapi cold lava flood that occurred in 2011 caused damage to agricultural land in the district Salam. These events led to the majority of the population depends on agricultural land to adapt to agricultural land. This study aims to determine the shape and pattern of adaptation that occurs in agricultural land affected by flooding lava. This study uses a grid with a size of 20 x 20 meters. Sampling was done by purposive sampling. The study area is a lava flood affected areas divided by the distance from the main road every 500 meters. Results of this research is that there are two forms of adaptation of farmland namely diversification and intensification. Pattern adaptation of the population to agricultural land condition that occurs depending on the distance to the main road. The closer to the main road, the greater the diversification and intensification of getting smaller.
