ABSTRAK Peran dunia maya semakin menggerus sendi-sendi kehidupan masyarakat. Beberapa aspek bahkan tidak dapat lagi terpisahkan dari dunia internet. Ketergantungan yang semakin tinggi terhadap internet, telah menumbuhkan suatu tren sosial baru dalam masyarakat. Pada jurnal ini, penulis meneliti sebuah novel yang berawal dari kumpulan cerita di forum internet, dan menyebar secara masif melalui dunia maya. Sepasang Kaos Kaki Hitam karya Ari Ginting, adalah sebuah cerita dengan tema percintaan yang disertai plot unik, serta menarik rasa ingin tahu dari pembaca. Kehadiran novel ini mengubah stereotip umum dari cerita bertema cinta. Cerita yang mengusung tema cinta biasanya hanya menyasar kalangan pembaca tertentu, namun novel ini cenderung menyenangkan untuk dinikmati beragam kalangan serta usia. Beberapa keunggulan novel ini adalah, alur yang tidak membosankan, karakter yang menarik, serta latar sosial yang begitu kental. Poin-poin tersebut telah menstimulus keinginan penulis untuk mengangkat serta menganalisis novel ini dengan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Tujuan penelitian adalah menemukan serta mengaitkan hubungan apa yang menyatukan Ari dan Meva, meskipun latar belakang serta segala aspek tentang hidup mereka begitu kontradiktif. Analisis penulis didukung dengan memperhatikan beberapa poin, seperti latar belakang sang tokoh, sifat mereka, serta kondisi lingkungan yang memengaruhi kepribadian mereka. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kedekatan mereka tidak hanya ditunjang kecocokan fisik atau latar belakang, tetapi karena hubungan yang kuat dalam kepribadian serta perasaan mereka satu sama lain.
ABSTRACT The role of internet is already permeated in society life. Some aspects event can not be separated from internet. Dependency upon internet, has developed a new social trend in the society. On this jurnal, the author will analyze a novel, which emerged from a stories collection in online forum, and spread massively through the internet. Sepasang Kaos Kaki Hitam by Ari Ginting, is a love story with unique plot that attract curiousity from the reader. The presence of this novel, has change a common stereotype about love story. Unique plot, interesting character, a strong social background, has stimulated the author to analyze this novel with a viewpoint from sociology of literature. The purpose of this research is to find and connect what relation that can unite Ari and Meva in the story, even though they background is contradictive and so different from each other. The author analysis supported by some point, such as character background, their habit, and environmental condition that affect them. "Cerpen Jia karya Han Tongliang diterbitkan pada tahun 1962, berkisah tentang keluarga di Cina pada masa tahun 1960-an dari sudut pandang tokoh utama 'aku', seorang pelajar yatim piatu. Cerpen ini menggambarkan hilangnya konsep atau nilai keluarga yang dialami 'aku' akibat wafatnya orang tua, dan juga akibat pengaturan sistem di era 1960-an di bawah pemerintahan Partai Komunis Cina. Pengaruh kondisi sosial pada masa itu pada tokoh nampak terutama pada pikiran dan tindakannya. Meskipun cerpen Jia sangat singkat dan tidak menggunakan penanda latar waktu secara gamblang, tetapi pengarang menggunakan istilah-istilah tertentu sebagai sinyal dan petunjuk. Beberapa istilah tersebut menjadi kunci yang membuka jalan untuk menganalisis cerpen ini.
Skripsi ini membahas dua hal, pertama yaitu latar waktu dan sosial yang digunakan dalam cerita, dan kedua membahas dampak kondisi sosial tersebut terhadap tokoh sebagaimana yang digambarkan oleh pengarang. Dari analisis akan terlihat bahwa kebijakan yang dikeluarkan oleh pemerintah Cina pada era 1960-an telah membuat konsep keluarga tradisional yang dikenal secara umum menghilang.Menjelang akhir cerita, pertemuan tokoh 'aku' yang tak disengaja dengan keluarga Liu, seolah menghadirkan kembali gambaran keluarga yang selama ini sudah pudar dari benaknya.
Jia is a short story written by Han Tongliang that was published in 1962. It tells the story of a family in 1960s China from the point of view of the character ldquo I rdquo who is an orphaned student. The story portrays the loss of the concept of family or family values that is experienced by the character ldquo I rdquo due to the death of his family and the ruling system of the Chinese Communist Party in the 1960s. The impact of the social condition on the character ldquo I rdquo could be seen through the character rsquo s thoughts and actions. Although Jia is a very short story and the author does not blatantly show the time settings, the author managed to utilize certain phrases as signals and clues in reference to the time. Some of the signals and clues act as a key that opens the analysis to this short story. This essay discusses two issues the first discussion is on the time and social setting of the story, and the second one is about the impact of social condition of the era on the character ldquo I rdquo as portrayed by the writer. From the analysis, it would later be seen that the policies that were made by the Chinese government in the 1960s have caused the concept of traditional families to disappear. Towards the end of the story, the coincidental meeting of the character ldquo I rdquo with the Liu family somehow brings back the portrayal of family that has been absent from his mind."

"Tujuan penelitian ini secara umum adalah untuk mendeskripsikan latar dalam novel Pertemuan Dua Hati, sedangkan secara khusus untuk menginterpretasikan latar fisik dan latar sosial novel tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan model penelitian kualitatif. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan struktural. Sumber datanya berasal dari novel yang berjudul Pertemuan Dua Hati karya Nh. Dini yang diterbitkan oleh PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama, Jakarta, tahun 1992, cetakan keenam, dan terdiri dari 85 halaman. Berdasarkan hasil analisis terhadap novel tersebut, latar fisik yang disajikan pengarang cukup baik. Hal ini terlihat dari keterangan mengenai rumah dan daerah. Selanjutnya, latar sosial yang disajikan pengarang cukup baik. Hal ini terlihat dari pemaparan tentang keadaan ekonomi, pandangan hidup, dan sikap hidup tokoh.
The purpose of this study commonly described about the background of the Pertemuan Dua Hati novel and specifically interpreted its physical background and social setting. The research used descriptive method with qualitative research model. The research approach was using structural approach. The source of the data was taken from a novel entitled Pertemuan Dua Hatiby Nh. Dini which had been published by PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama, Jakarta, in 1992, the sixth printing, and consists of 85 pages. Based on the analysis,it concluded that the physical setting that presented by the author was quite well. This can be seen from the description of the house and the area. Furthermore, the social background that presented by the author was good enough. It has been e xplanated from the conditional economy, the views of life and the attitude of the character."
