"Pemanasan global merupakan permasalahan dunia yang telah terjadi sejak abad ke-19. Meningkatnya kadar gas CO dalam atmosfer Bumi mengakibatkan efek gas rumah kaca yang menyebabkan berbagai permasalahan seperti kenaikan permukaan air laut serta hilangnya habitat hewan. Sebagai negara kepulauan serta letak geografisnya yang tepat di garis khatulistiwa, Indonesia memiliki potensi sumber daya alam yang berlimpah melalui wilayah perairan serta intensitas cahaya mataharinya. Kepulauan Indonesia juga memiliki potensi pariwisata yang sangat besar dengan banyaknya pegunungan serta pantai. Namun, Indonesia juga harus memiliki terobosan dalam mengatasi pemanasan global.
Melalui tulisan ini, tim penulis memiliki gagasan untuk memanfaatkan cahaya matahari sebagai sumber energi terbarukan untuk menggerakkan kapal wisata bertemakan restoran yang dapat berlayar di perairan Indonesia. Penulis merancang sistem kelistrikan kapal restoran bertenaga surya dengan menganalisa electric load balance dari tiap kondisi pelayaran kapal, yang kemudian disesuaikan dengan sistem baterai serta solar array yang diletakkan di atap kapal.
Global warming is one of the world rsquo s problem since the 19th century. The increasing amount of CO gas in the Earths atmosfer causes the greenhouse effect to occur thus creating more problems such as seawater increase and animal habitat loss. As an archipelagic country and located in the equatorial line, Indonesia has huge amount of natural resources and renewable energy potential through its seas and sunlight. Indonesian also have a lot of tourism potential through the countrys beautiful mountains and beaches. Nevertheless, Indonesia still need to have a breakthrough to cope with global warming. This research aims to make use of sunlight as a renewable energy source to be converted to electricity and thus can be used to propel a restaurant themed tourism ship. The researcher designs the ships electrical system by analyzing the ships electric load balance in certain conditions, battery system, and solar array arrangement."
