"Susu kental manis merupakan salah satu jenis olahan susu yang banyak dikonsumsi masyarakat. Informasi yang tersedia dalam label dan iklan susu kental manis selama ini menunjukkan bahwa susu kental manis dapat dikonsumsi sebagaimana produk susu bernutrisi lainnya yaitu dengan cara diseduh dengan air kemudian diminum, namun BPOM kemudian menyatakan bahwa susu kental manis tidak dapat dikonsumsi demikian, sehingga informasi yang diberikan oleh pelaku usaha tersebut merupakan informasi yang menyesatkan.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini adalah metode penelitian yuridis normatif yang menekankan pada penelitian norma hukum positif dalam peraturan peundang-undangan dengan menggunakan studi kepustakaan dan wawancara. Informasi menyesatkan yang diberikan oleh pelaku usaha susu kental manis dalam hal ini telah melanggar beberapa ketentuan dalam hukum perlindungan konsumen. Atas dasar hal tersebut BPOM sebagai badan yang berwenang dalam mengawasi produk obat dan makanan seharusnya menindak tegas pelanggaran yang dilakukan oleh pelaku usaha susu kental manis tersebut.

Sweetened condensed milk is one of the type of processed milk that is massively consumed by many people. The information provided both in labels and advertisements of sweetened condensed milk shows that sweetened condensed milk could be consumed as other nutritious milk products by brewing it with water and then drinking it, but the National Agency for Food and Drugs Control Republic of Indonesia (BPOM) then states that sweetened condensed milk could not be consumed so that the information provided by the business actor previously, considered as a misleading information.
The research method used in this paper is a normative juridical research method that emphasises research of positive legal norms in legal instruments based on literatures review and interviews. The misleading information provided by business actor concerning sweetened condensed milk in this case has violated several provisions in the consumer protection law. Pursuant to that, BPOM as the body that has the authority to supervise drugs and food products should take firm action against the violations committed by the business actor of the sweetened condensed milk."

"Tanaman saga maths (Abrus precatorius L Familia Leguminosae) merupakan tanaman yang banyak ditanam di Indonesia. Daun dari tanaman saga mains mi sudah lama dipakai sebagai obat batuk dan sanawan baik dengan pengolahan tradisional maupun secara industri. Untuk mendapatkan simplisia dengan mutu yang seragarn, telah dilakukan penelitian terhadap kestabilan simplisia daun saga marns selama 3 bulan penyimpanan. Percobaan dilakukan dengan memeriksa kadar senyawa-senyawa golongan fenol dan stabilitas senyawa golongan triterpn yang terdapat dalam simplisia tersebut selama tiga bulan penyimpanan. Pemeriksaan kadar senyawa -senyawa golongan fenol dilakukan secara bromometri dan pemeriksaan triterpenoid secara kromatografi lapis tipis. Kadar fenol dinyatakan dalam mgrek natriuni tiosulfat untuk tiap grain serbuk daun saga manis yang digunakan pada percobaan bromometri. Untuk triterpenoid, percobaan dilakukan terhadap ekstrak butanol serbuk daun saga manis dengan menggunakan eluen kloroform-metanol-air (60:20:10) dengan pereaksi vanillin-asam sulfat pada pengamatan dengan sinar biasa dan UV 366 fin.
Berdasarkan hasil analisa statistik variansi satu arah yang dilakukan terhadap mgrek natrium tiosulfat yang digunakan, kadar senyawa-senyawa fenol dalam simplisia daun saga manis selama masa penyimpanan 3 bulan tidak stabil. Hasil kromatografi lapis tipis triterpenoid menunjukkan bahwa pola kromatogram senyawa golongan triterpen dalam simplisia dawn saga manis yang digunakan relatif stabil.

Saga mams (Abrus precatorius L. - Fam. Leguminosae) is a plant which have spread throughout Indonesia. Leaves from this plant have been used as cough and anti aphtae medicine whether with traditional processing or industrial processing by pharmacy industry. In order to gain crude drugs with equal quality, a research has been done on stability of saga manis leaves crude drug for three months storage. Research has been done through quantity test of phenolic compound and stability test of triterpenoid in that crude drug. The quantity test of phenolic compound was done by bromometry and stability test of triterpenoid by thin layer chromatografic for three months storage. Quantity of phenolic compound was stated in mgrek natrium tiosulfat for each gram crude drug which was used in bromometry. For triterpenoid, chromatographic was done by using butanol extract, chlorofonn-metanol-air (60:20:10) solvent system, vanillin-sulphuric acid spray reagent and detection by visible and UV 366 nm light. Based on statistical result with one way variance against mgrek natriuin thiosulfat, quantity of phenolic compounds in saga manis during 3 months storage shows a statistically significant reduction. Thin layer chromatographic pattern of the triterpenoid in saga maths leaves is relatively stabil."

"It has been investigated the plant of Cinnamomum burmannii Nees ex Blume from the West Sumatera as sources of antioxidant and antibacterial compounds. Extraction with n-hexane and ethanol showed the activities of antioxidant as radical scavenger and as the antibacteria againt Escherichia coli. Fractional from the crude extract on silica gel column with the n-hexaneethyl acetate solven gradient system for the n-hexane crude extract and the ethyl acetate-methanol solven gradient system for the ethanol crude extract yield three fractions. They are examined with radical scavenger method. The n-hexane crude extract and its fraction showed weak of antioxidant capacity but the ethanol crude extract and the two its fractions showed very powerful of antioxidant capacity with IC50 9.0 ppm, 7,8 ppm and 11.2 ppm respectively. A Fraction from the n-hexane crude extract (fraction A) and two fractions from the ethanol crude extract ( fraction B and fraction C) were analyzed UV, IR and GC-MS. Fraction A consist of trans cinnamaldehyde (54, 41 %), cinnamate acid (20,49 %), benzaldehyde (7,95 %) dan α-phenylacetaldehyde (4,30 %). Fraction B consist of trans–cinnamaldehyde (68,65 %), methyl cinnamate (9,20 %), methyl hexadecanoic (8,49 %) and methyl-9-Octadecenoic (6,99 %). Fraction C consist of ethyl tetradecanoic (43,56 %), ethyl laurate (39,48 %), ethyl hexadecanoic (12,16 %), dioctyl hexenedioic (2,98 %) and diisooctyl 1,2 benzenedicarboxylic (1,83 %).
