Abstrak :
Peningkatan konsumsi energi yang tinggi di Negara Organisasi Kerjasama Islam (OKI) dan sebagian besar dari konsumsi energi tersebut berasal dari energi fosil dapat mengakibatkan kerusakan lingkungan. Untuk menghindari dampak kerusakan tersebut perlu adanya transisi energi fosil menjadi energi terbarukan. Financial development dapat mempengaruhi pemanfaatan sumber energi terbarukan secara efisien. Perkembangan dalam sistem keuangan suatu negara akan mengurangi biaya investasi proyek investasi energi terbarukan dan mendorong konsumsi energi terbarukan. Penelitian ini menggunakan data panel untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari financial development terhadap konsumsi energi terbarukan studi kasus negara anggota OKI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara financial development di sektor pasar saham dan konsumsi energi terbarukan. Selain itu, hasil menunjukkan bahwa financial development di sektor perbankan tidak memengaruhi konsumsi energi terbarukan. ......The high energy consumption in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries, with a significant portion of it being derived from fossil fuels, can result in environmental damage. To avoid the impacts of such damage, a transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy is necessary. Financial development can influence the efficient utilization of renewable energy sources. The progress in a country's financial system can reduce the investment costs of renewable energy projects and promote the consumption of renewable energy. This study employs panel data to examine the impact of financial development on renewable energy consumption in a case study of OIC member countries. The research findings indicate a significant positive relationship between financial development in the stock market sector and renewable energy consumption. Additionally, the results show that financial development in the banking sector does not affect renewable energy consumption.
