"Artikel ini mengartikulasikan isu aktivitas menyimpang, yakni pedofilia, di ruang daring. Dengan teknologi komunikasi yang berkembang pesat dan semakin banyak orang yang memiliki akses ke internet dan jaringan daring, para pelaku penyimpangan, dalam hal ini pedofil, menggunakan anonimitas di ruang daring untuk melakukan aksinya. Sementara itu, aktivitas daring justru meningkat selama beberapa tahun terakhir, terutama selama pandemi COVID-19 di mana orang terpaksa tinggal di rumah dan menjalankan kegiatan secara daring (De, et al., 2020). Artikel berfokus untuk memahami bagaimana platform daring melanggengkan perilaku menyimpang ini melalui anonimitas, (Lindgren, 2017, dalam hal ini melalui Discord. Studi ini menemukan anonimitas dalam platform Discord menjadi salah satu faktor utama keberadaan komunitas daring menyimpang, seperti pedofilia.......This article articulates the issue of deviant activity, particularly pedophilia, in online spaces. With communication technology quickly developing and more people having access to the internet and online networks, deviants like pedophiles now use the anonymity found on online spaces like discord to quell their urges and perform deviant activity. Online activity has only increased over the past years, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic where people were forced to stay at home and remain online (De, et al., 2020). This article will look to understand how online platforms harbor these deviants through anonymity, (Lindgren, 2017) and exemplifies deviants use of anonymity through the popular calling and interaction platform, Discord. This paper argues that anonymity on online platforms like Discord are what foster deviant activity such as pedophilia."
