"The right to privacy figures prominently in popular discourse and law. Its popularity, however, is not matched by the respect it receives. A close look at empirical understandings of privacy, how it shapes development, and how privacy itself can be shaped, provides important lessons for addressing the critical juncture facing privacy rights and privacy itself. To increase respect for privacy and foster privacys effective outcomes, society must capitalize on opportunities to shape adolescents use of privacy. Yet, as currently developed, the legal system has difficulty recognizing adolescents privacy rights and supporting systems that would shape adolescents skills and abilities in ways that would foster respect for privacy. As a result, the system fails to address the needs of adolescents and society. The upshot is that a developmental understanding of privacy essentially asks that the legal system take an entirely different approach to adolescents privacy. This book provides the foundation for understanding privacy rights and how they relate to adolescents. It then explores the place of privacy in adolescent development and builds on that understanding to chart ways to better address adolescents privacy needs and rights as well as societys broader privacy interests. It argues that privacy actually is an inherently social phenomenon, one that can and must be shaped more effectively."

"Peran ekonomi transportasi semakin penting, hal ini ditunjukkan dengan bagaimana orang membutuhkan lebih banyak waktu untuk bepergian ke tempat kerja dalam beberapa dekade terakhir. Oleh karena itu, menjadi penting untuk mengetahui bagaimana kesejahteraan masyarakat dapat ditentukan oleh pilihan mereka saat bepergian, salah satunya adalah moda transportasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperkirakan dampak moda transportasi yang digunakan dalam perjalanan komuter terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat di Indonesia. Menggunakan regresi logistik yang dipesan dan keamanan pribadi selama perjalanan sebagai proxy untuk kesejahteraan, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa moda transportasi memang mempengaruhi keamanan pribadi mereka. Selain itu, berjalan kaki, bersepeda, dan menggunakan kendaraan pribadi berhubungan positif dengan keamanan pribadi selama perjalanan. Dari temuan tersebut, penelitian ini mengadvokasi rekomendasi kebijakan yang sejalan dengan peningkatan pengalaman komuter angkutan umum serta pengguna mobilitas aktif, seperti penegakan keamanan di halte atau stasiun kereta api serta prioritas pejalan kaki dan pengendara sepeda melalui penyediaan trotoar yang lebih luas serta jalur sepeda.

The role of transport economics is increasingly important, it is shown by how people take more time to commute to work in recent decades. Thus, it becomes important to figure out how people’s well-being can be determined by their choices when commuting, one of which is transporting mode. This study aims to estimate the impact of transport mode used in commuting on people’s well-being in Indonesia. Using ordered logistic regression and personal security during commuting as a proxy to well-being, this study finds that transport modes do affect their personal security. Additionally, walking, cycling, and using private vehicle are positively related to personal security during commuting. From the findings, this study advocates for policy recommendations that are in line with improving commuting experience of public transit as well as active mobility users, such as security enforcements at bus stops or train stations as well as pedestrians’ and cyclists’ prioritization through providing wider sidewalks and bike lanes."
