Beberapa penelitian telah menemukan kaitan antara regulasi emosi dan executive function (EF), namun masih terdapat inkonsistensi terkait komponen EF mana yang dapat memprediksi regulasi emosi pada anak prasekolah. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat bagaimana peran komponen cool dan hot dari EF, beserta dengan jenis kelamin, dalam memprediksi regulasi emosi pada anak prasekolah usia 5-6 tahun. Sebanyak 84 anak diuji dengan sejumlah tes cool EF, hot EF, dan regulasi emosi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hot EF dan jenis kelamin, namun tidak dengan cool EF, dapat memprediksi kemampuan regulasi emosi berdasarkan performa langsung dari anak. Sebaliknya, tidak ditemukan adanya kaitan di antara cool EF, hot EF, maupun jenis kelamin, dengan kemampuan regulasi emosi berdasarkan laporan orang tua. Adanya temuan terkait kontribusi hot EF dalam memprediksi performa regulasi emosi, dapat menjadi pertimbangan dalam memberikan intervensi regulasi emosi berbasis hot EF pada anak prasekolah, dengan mempertimbangkan jenis kelamin. ......A number of studies had found the relation between emotion regulation and executive function (EF), but there are still some inconsistencies regarding which components of EF that have the ability to predict emotion regulation in preschoolers. The current study investigated the contribution of cool EF, hot EF, and sex, in predicting emotion regulation in preschoolers 5- to 6-year-olds. 84 preschoolers were assessed using cool EF, hot EF, and emotion regulation tasks. The results revealed that hot EF and sex, but not cool EF, were able to predict preschoolers’ emotion regulation performance. Meanwhile, it was also found that cool EF, hot EF, and sex did not have any relation with emotion regulation based on parent-reports. These findings suggest that hot EF intervention can be given to those preschoolers claimed to have less optimal emotion regulation.

ndonesian children learn the rules governing attitudes and utterances--the politeness strategies--in their community through the process language acquisition. They use mainly the positive politeness. It it found that Indonesian preschoolers use different politeness strategies towards different participants at school, based on age, social distance, and authority scales for expressing their requests.

ABSTRAK
Untuk mengetahui pengaruh edukasi hidrasi dan penyediaan air minum terhadap total asupan cairan dan konsumsi minuman pada anak prasekolah. Sebanyak 183 anak 50 [44, 56] bulan; perempuan 51,9 dari studi intervensi klaster yang dilakukan oleh Kelompok Kerja Hidrasi Indonesia IHWG dimasukkan dalam analisis data. Penelitian dilakukan di Jakarta Timur dari bulan Januari sampai April 2017. Kelompok anak-anak menerima edukasi hidrasi dan penyediaan air minum n = 62 anak-anak ; atau penyediaan air minum saja n = 62 anak ; atau edukasi gizi seimbang kontrol, n = 59 anak-anak . Konsumsi total asupan cairan, air putih, susu, dan minuman manis bergula diukur dengan menggunakan catatan minuman 7 hari dan Fluid Frequency Questionnaire FFQ . Tidak ada perbedaan yan signifikan secara statistik pada asupan cairan total, asupan air putih, susu total, dan minuman manis bergula di antara tiga kelompok p> 0.05 . Namun, asupan air putih dan cairan total pada kelompok intervensi ditemukan meningkat dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. Menariknya, susu rasa, dengan rata-rata kandungan gula lebih dari separuh dari rekomendasi, berkontribusi terhadap lebih dari 95 dari total asupan susu. Peneliti menyarankan agar edukasi yang spesifik dapt mencapai hasil yang lebih baik.
ABSTRACT
To determine the effect of hydration education and water provision on total fluid intake and beverage consumption among preschoolers. A total of 183 children 50 44, 56 months female 51.9 from cluster trial conducted by Indonesian Hydration Working Group IHWG were included in data analysis. The present study conducted in East Jakarta from January until April 2017. Children were received hydration education and water provision n 62 children or water provision only n 62 children or general balance diet education control, n 59 children . Total fluid, plain water, total milk, and Sugar Sweetened Beverage SSB intake were measured using 7 days fluid record and FFQ. No statistically significant different found on total fluid intake as well as plain water, total milk, and sugar sweetened beverage intake between three groups p 0.05 . However, plain water and total fluid intake among intervention groups found increased compared to control group. Interestingly, flavored milk, with sugar content more than half of recommendation, was contributed more than 95 of total milk intake. Researcher suggests that pin point education may achieve better result.

Kekerasan seksual di Indonesia terus meningkat dan Cirebon termasuk wilayah darurat kekerasan pada anak. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengidentifikasi pengaruh edukasi pencegahan kekerasan seksual terhadap persepsi anak usia prasekolah. Desain penelitianini kuantitatif dengan pendekatan metode quasi experimental dengan pre-post test with control design melibatkan 240 responden meliputi 120 responden pada kelompok intervensi yang mendapat intervensi edukasi pencegahan kekerasan seksual dan 120 responden pada kelompok kontrol. Hasil analisis chi Square menunjukkan adanya pengaruh edukasi seksual terhadap persepsi anak usia prasekolah p value< 0,05 . Edukasi pencegahan kekerasan seksual pada anak usia prasekolah dapat direkomendasikan untuk masuk dalam kurikulum pendidikan usia dini dan keperawatan.ABSTRACT
Sexual violence in Indonesia continues to increase and Cirebon has been included in the emergency area of child.The objective of the study was to identify the influenece of sexual violence prevention education toward preschool age perception. The design of this study was quantitative approach with quasi experimental method with pre post test with control design involeving 240 respondents including 120 respondents in the intervention group who received sexual violence prevention education intervention and 120 respondents in the control group. The result of Chi Square analysis shows the effect of education on preventing sexual violence toward preschoolers rsquo perception p value 0,05 . Education of sexual violence prevention can be recomended for entry into the curriculum of early childhood education and nursing education.

Iron deficiency anemia among under live children is highly prevalent in Indonesia and is considered as a public health problem. Iron supplementation seems to be the most appropriate way to control iron deficiency in relatively short period of time. Children consume less food than adult and their diet often consists of foods with little iron content and poor iron bioavailability. Additional iron to food for children is therefore necessary. One possible food chosen as alternative vehicle to prevent iron deficiency among children is bread. This study gave iron supplementation using bread as vehicle which provided 25% of daily iron requirement of preschoolers to address iron deficiency problem in relatively short period of time.

The study report is arranged and divided into three parts- Part I includes the background of the study, problem statement, rationale of the study, literature review, hypotheses, objectives and variable-indicator matrix.

Part 2 is the manuscripts for publication. The manuscript ?The efficacy of iron supplementation using bread as vehicle of preschoolers in Surabaya, East Java? is written for submission to Asia Pasific Journal. This pan consists of abstract, introduction, materials and methods including study and subjects, sample size, study design, data collection, statistical analysis, ethical consideration, results, discussion, conclusion and references.

Part 3 describes the questionnaire used for 'the data collection, detailed methodology and important results that have not been presented in the manuscript, ethical consideration, grant approval, references and curriculum vitae.

Banyak tenaga pendidik PAUD yang menyadari pentingnya kemampuan guru dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang anak yang terlambat berbicara di kelas, khususnya pada bidang literasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah Program Intervensi Fonetrik dapat meningkatkan kemampuan para guru PAUD dalam memfasilitasi literasi anak prasekolah dengan speech sound difficulties (SSD). Penelitian ini diikuti oleh 15 orang guru PAUD yang memiliki peserta didik dengan speech sound difficulties. Penelitian selama empat sesi ini mengukur dua ranah, yakni kognitif dan psikomotor. Pengambilan data kognitif dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah program intervensi (one-group pretest-posttest design) melalui instrumen LAP-SSD 1. Kemudian, data psikomotor diukur melalui instrumen LAP-SSD 2 pada sesi microteaching (one-group posttest design). Analisa statistik menggunakan Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test serta asesmen pendukung berupa data deskriptif menunjukkan adanya perubahan skor secara signifikan baik pada ranah kognitif maupun psikomotor. Dengan demikian, Program Intervensi Fonetrik berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam memfasilitasi literasi anak prasekolah dengan speech sound difficulties. Limitasi serta rekomendasi akan dituliskan dalam penelitian ini. ......Many PAUD teachers are aware of the importance of teaching skills in increasing the knowledge of children with speech sound difficulties in class, especially in the area of literacy. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the Fonetrik Intervention Program can increase the ability of PAUD teachers regarding literacy of preschoolers with speech sound difficulties (SSD). There were 15 PAUD teachers who have students with speech sound difficulties that participated in this study. The two domains that were measured in this four-session study were cognitive and psychomotor. A one-group pretest-posttest research design to test the cognitive domain and a one-group posttest design to test the psychomotor domain. The LAP-SSD 1 instrument was used to gather cognitive data before and after the intervention program. Then, the LAP-SSD 2 instrument was used to collect psychomotor data throughout the microteaching session. Statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test and supporting assessments in the form of descriptive data showed a significant change in scores both in the cognitive and psychomotor domains. As a result, the Fonetrik Intervention Program has a positive impact in enhancing teachers' ability to facilitate literacy of preschoolers with speech sound difficulties. This study will include limitations and recommendations.

At a very young age children living in Jakarta use both Colloquial Jakarta Indonesia and Bahasa Indonesia. The children’s first and most used language is Colloquial Jakarta Indonesia. In the formal school setting Bahasa Indonesia is frequently used and stimulated on a daily basis, and the learning process of Bahasa Indonesia is accelerated. The question addressed in this article is: how do these children choose from their repertoire of language varieties at this stage of language development? In our study 63 children (aged three to five), were interviewed in a formal and an informal situation in three playgroups and kindergartens. This study shows that even in the preschool setting, young children are already developing their sociolinguistic competence, knowing when to choose which language variety.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas bercerita dengan media boneka dalam menurunkan perilaku agresif pada anak usia prasekolah. Salah satu faktor sosial yaitu media seperti video games, play station, film yang bertema kekerasan mempengaruhi perilaku agresif anak. Oleh karena itu, bercerita dengan media boneka diharapkan dapat menurunkan perilaku agresifnya. Karakteristik sampel adalah anak laki-laki usia prasekolah dan menunjukkan perilaku agresif dalam kelompok borderline dan klinis. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain sebelum dan sesudah intervensi dengan menggunakan alat ukur Child Behavioral Check List yang direspon oleh ibu, wawancara dengan guru dan observasi pada proses intervensi. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah 2 subjek menurun perilaku agresifnya dan 1 subjek tidak ada penurunan perilaku agresif. Pada penelitian yang akan datang, penggunaan kelompok kontrol pada intervensi perlu dilakukan untuk mengetahui faktor lain yang dapat berpengaruh pada munculnya perilaku agresif subjek. Para guru juga dapat dilatih memiliki kemampuan yang sama baiknya dengan keahlian seorang pencerita.
ABSTRACT
The purpose of the study examined The effectiveness of Storytelling with Puppets to Decrease Aggresive Behavior of Preschoolers. One of social factors is media like video games, play station, film with violence themes influence the children aggresive behavior. Therefore, storytelling with puppets intervention is expected to decrease the aggresive behavior. The characteristic of sample is the boys in preschool age and show aggresive behavior on borderline and clinical level. This research use before and after experimental design by using Child Behavioral Check List to mother, interview with teachers and observation in intervention process as instruments. The conclusion are 2 subject decrease their aggresive behavior and there is no decrease on 1 subject. Further research need control group to know the effect of the relevant factors to decrease aggresive behavior of preschoolers. The teachers should be trained as well as storyteller.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara tekanan untuk makan dan faktor lainnya dengan perilaku picky eating. Pengambilan data menggunakan pengisian kuesioner dan pengukuran berat badan dan tinggi badan pada 113 anak usia 3 - 6 tahun di PAUD dan TK terpilih di Kelurahan Manggarai Selatan, Jakarta Selatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebanyak 29,2% responden memiliki perilaku picky eating. Terdapat perbedaan proporsi signifikan pada picky eater yang mendapat tekanan untuk makan (p = 0,007) dan memiliki keluarga berperilaku picky eating (p = 0,0001) serta perbedaan rata-rata usia anak yang signifikan pada picky eater (p = 0,014). Perilaku picky eating lebih sering terjadi pada masa awal anak-anak yang mendapat tekanan untuk makan serta memiliki keluarga berperilaku picky eating. ......The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between pressure to eat and other factors with picky eating behaviour. Data was obtained by questionnaires and weight and height measurements from 113 children aged 3 - 6 years old in selected kindergarten in South Manggarai Urban, South Jakarta. Result of this study shows 29,2% of respondents have picky eating behaviour. There is significant difference of proportion in picky eater who had pressure to eat (p = 0,007) and had family with picky eating behaviour (p = 0,0001) and also significant diferrence of mean age in picky eater (p = 0,014). Picky eating behaviour often occurs in early childhood who have pressure to eat and have family with picky eating behaviour.

ABSTRAK Perkembangan emosional merupakan perkembangan yang penting bagi anak prasekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pola asuh orang tua dengan perkembangan emosional pada anak usia prasekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain analitik komparatif dan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sebanyak 300 ibu dari anak usia prasekolah di Kecamatan Beji Kota Depok menjadi responden pada penelitian ini yang diambil dengan cara cluster random sampling. dengan mengisi kuesioner terkait pola asuh dan perkembangan emosional anak prasekolah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa anak usia prasekolah memiliki perkembangan emosional dengan skor median 149. Selain itu ditemukan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara pola asuh dengan domain surgensi, afeksi negatif, upaya kendali, dan skor total perkembangan emosional anak prasekolah (p=0,0001). Hasil penilitian diharapkan dapat dijadikan sebagai informasi untuk menstimulus perkembangan emosional dan mengintegrerasikan perkembangan lainnya dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah.
ABSTRACT Emotional development is an important development for preschoolers. This study aims to determine the correlation between parenting parents and emotional development in preschoolers. This study used a quantitative research with comparative analytic design with cross-sectional approach. 300 mothers of preschoolers in Kecamatan Beji, Kota Depok became respondents which were taken by cluster random sampling. Mother filled out questionnaires about parenting and emotional development of preschoolers. The results of this study indicate that preschoolers have emotional development with an median score of 149. In addition, there was significant relations between parenting and each score of surgency, negative affectivity, and effortful control dimension and also the total score of preschool children emotional development (p = 0.0001). This study results are expected to be used as information to stimulate emotional development and integrate other developments in the learning process.
