Abstrak :
Kompetensi adalah sekelompok perilaku yang terdiri dari pengetahuan, keterampilan teknis dan motivasi yang menentukan kesuksesan seseorang dalam pekerjaannya. Kompetensi individu yang didukung oleh lingkungan pekerjaan dan tuntutan peran yang tepat akan menghasilkan kinerja yang efektif. Kinerja efektif seorang manajer dapat dilihat dari nilai kompetensi yang dimiliki. Pada penelitian ini digunakan Profilor Wheel untuk menggolongkan dan mengnkur kompetensi manajer. Tujuan dari penelitian ini melihat nilai kompetensi tertinggi yang dimiliki manajer beberapa industri di Indonesia berdasarkan nilai hasil assessment center tahun 2008 - 2010. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tigakompetensi yang memiliki nilai tertinggi adalah Motivation Factor, Self Management Factor dan Communication Factor.

Competence is a group of behaviors consisting of knowledge, technical skills and motivations that determine a person's success in its work. Individual competencies are supported by the work environment and demands of the role will result in effective perfonnance. Effective performance of a manager can be seen from the value of their competence. In this study Profilor Wheel used to categorize and measure the competence of managers. The purpose of this study to find the the highest competence managers have in industries in Indonesia based on the results of assessment-center in 2008 to 2010, Research shows that the-three competencies that have the highest value is the Motivation Factor, Self Management and Communication Factor.
