"ABSTRACTKehidupan di dalam tatanan sosial, menyertakan permasalahan di antara dua pihak, yaitu karakter institusi dan karakter masyarakatnya. Sehingga kehadiran dari Teori Keadilan oleh John Rawls, dapat membantu untuk membawa ke arah titik yang stabil. Komponen pemikirannya memberikan peranan bahwa individu perlu menyadari persoalan keadilan yang bukan hanya sekedar hak, namun juga merupakan tugas dan kewajiban. Keputusan atau kebijakan yang hadir dari negara adalah hal yang tidak mutlak. Semua orang dapat mengevaluasi dan memodifikasi kembali, untuk mencapai stabilnya moral politik. Sehingga mampu berdampak pada adanya jarak untuk memisahkan integrasi total, antara individu dengan negara yang dapat diaplikasikan melalui kebernalaran masyarakat, dan pembangkangan sipil untuk melawan dominasi ketidakadilan.

ABSTRACTHere is a problem within the social order, between the character of the institution and its people. Therefore, the presence of A Theory of Justice by John Rawls can bring it to a stable point. His thought gives an important role to the individuals, that issues of justice are not just concerning on the rights, but also about the duty and obligation. Decisions or policies that come from the state is not absolute. Everyone can re-evaluate and modify it to achieve the stability of political moral. Then, it can give an impact to make the distance and denied the total integration to separate between the individuals and the state. It can be applied through reasonable society, and civil disobedience to against the dominance of injustice."

"Multicultural society as a way of being-with-others needs a certain form of public reasoning. Unfortunately, the current yet dominant form of public reasoning is infiltrated by biases from occidental culture. This mode of reasoning does nothing but uproot participants from their cultural identity for the sake of universal consensus. Multicultural society, however, consists of identities which are embedded in the individuals? cultural tradition. This sociological fact demands a richer form of rationality that does not deny the multiplicity of cultural values and embedded identities. We need a form of public reasoning which emphasizes cultural understanding rather than abstract consensus. We might call it a multicultural, contextualized and other-regarding form of public reason."
