"Latar Belakang: Perawatan implan gigi adalah perawatan penggantian gigi hilang dengan angka kesuksesan tinggi. Evaluasi radiologis perawatan implan gigi berguna untuk menilai ketahanan dan kesuksesan jangka panjang perawatan. Tujuan: Menganalisis kehilangan tulang krestal peri-implan gigi melalui evaluasi radiologis dan hubungannya dengan faktor risiko. Metode: Studi pada 29 implan gigi. Dilakukan pencatatan data status pasien kemudian pembuatan radiograf periapikal digital dengan teknik paralel. Analisis radiologis kehilangan tulang krestal peri-implan gigi di mesial dan distal. Hasil: Rerata kehilangan tulang krestal mesial 1,26±0,15 mm dan distal 1,42±0,17 mm dengan angka kesuksesan sebesar 93,1%. Tidak terdapat korelasi kehilangan tulang krestal peri-implan gigi dengan letak implan di maksila dan mandibula; letak implan di regio anterior dan posterior; dan jenis implan gigi bone level dan tissue level (p>0,05). Kesimpulan: Hasil evaluasi radiografis implan gigi di Klinik Spesialis Periodonsia FKG UI  sukses.

Background: Dental implant treatment is an alternative for the replacement of teeth that has a high success rate. Radiographic evaluation of implant treatment is useful for a a long term evaluation. Aim: To evaluate implant treatments by analysing the condition of the bones around dental implants using radiography, as well as determine dental implant correlation with associated factors. Methods: A total of 29 dental Implant were assessed. Radiographic evaluations were carried out using a periapical radiographic dental x-ray unit and converted into digital images. Crestal bone loss was analysed on mesial and distal aspect. Result: The mean crestal bone loss on mesial aspect was  1.26±0.15 mm and distal aspect was 1.42±0.17 mm with the success rate of 91.6%. There are no statistically significant correlations between crestal bone loss and the location of the implant (maxilla or mandible), anteroposterior site, and type of implant (bone level and tissue level). Conclusion: The radiographic evaluation of dental implants demonstrated successful results."

"Latar Belakang: Informasi radiografis mengenai kehilangan tulang berperan penting dalam penentuan diagnosis, rencana perawatan, dan prognosis periodontitis. Pengklasifikasian diagnosis periodontitis berdasarkan AAP 2017 mencakup komponen kehilangan perkelatan klinis dan persentase kehilangan tulang radiografis yang menghasilkan diagnosis periodontitis berdasarkan tingkat keparahan. Tujuan: Melihat tingkat kesesuaian diagnosis radiografis berdasarkan persentase kehilangan tulang dengan diagnosis klinis berdasarkan kehilangan perlekatan. Metode: Menggunakan studi potong lintang menggunakan 70 sampel komponen data kehilangan perlekatan klinis rekam medis dan radiograf intraoral sisi proksimal sampel gigi dengan diagnosis dan kerusakan terparah dari pasien periodontitis kronis di RSKGM FKG UI. Perhitungan kerusakan menggunakan persentase kehilangan tulang dengan mengukur jarak CEJ ke defek tulang terparah dan jarak CEJ ke ujung apeks gigi. Hasil: Uji komparatif Wilcoxon menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan bermakna secara statistik antara diagnosis klinis dan radiografis berdasarkan klasifikasi AAP 2017 mengenai periodontitis dengan nilai p=0,003. Sebanyak 64,3% sampel memiliki kesesuaian diagnosis klinis dan radiografis, 27,1% sampel memiliki diagnosis radiografis < klinis, dan 8,6% sampel memiliki diagnosis radiografis > klinis. Kesimpulan: Diperlukan dua alat diagnostik untuk menentukan tingkat keparahan periodontitis, yaitu secara klinis dan diikuti dengan pemeriksaan radiografis untuk menutupi limitasi dari masing-masing jenis pemeriksaan. Berdasarkan kesesuaian diagnosis yang signifikan, radiograf periapikal dapat digunakan untuk membantu diagnosis periodontitis.
......Background: Radiographic information regarding bone loss plays an important role in determining periodontitis diagnosis. The AAP 2017 classification of periodontitis diagnosis uses CAL and the RBL that would result in a periodontitis diagnosis based on the severity and disease progression. Objectives: The study was aimed to compare the diagnosis based on a percentage of RBL and clinical diagnosis based on CAL. Methods: The cross-sectional study was conducted on 70 samples using CAL and percentage of RBL in proximal sites. Radiographic assessment was done by calculating the distance from CEJ to proximal bone defects and from CEJ to root tip. Result: The result of the Wilcoxon comparative test showed a statistically significant difference between clinical and radiographic diagnosis based on the AAP 2017 classification with p-value=0.003. The result showed that 64,3% had clinical diagnosis = radiographic diagnosis, 27,1% had a radiographic diagnosis < clinical diagnosis, and 8,6% had a radiographic diagnosis > clinical diagnosis. Conclusion: Two diagnostic tools are needed to determine the severity of periodontitis, clinically and followed by a radiographic examination to cover the limitations of each examination. Based on the significant accuracy of the diagnosis, the periapical radiograph can be used to assist in the periodontitis diagnosis."

"ABSTRAK
Latar belakang: Terapi regeneratif pada kerusakan tulang vertikal telah memberikan hasil yang memuaskan, tetapi kerusakan horizontal masih menjadi tantangan bagi klinisi.
Tujuan Penelitian: Mengevaluasi penggunaan kitosan, kitosan RGD, dan kombinasi PDL cell sheet terhadap peningkatan densitas radiografis tulang alveolar dengan kerusakan tulang horizontal
Metode dan Bahan: Total sampel berjumlah 16 yang dibagi menjadi empat kelompok perlakuan, yaitu kitosan, kitosan RGD, kitosan PDL cell sheet, dan kitosan RGD PDL cell sheet. Evaluasi radiografis dilakukan empat minggu setelah bedah regeneratif.
Hasil: Hasil substraksi densitas radiograf tulang alveolar kelompok kitosan 7,31 10,27; kitosan RGD 16,70 13,17; kitosan PDL cell sheet 19,34 21,46; kitosan RGD PDL cell sheet 21,97 7,85.
Kesimpulan: Penggunaan kitosan, kitosan RGD, kitosan dan PDL cell sheet, serta kitosan RGD dan PDL cell sheet memiliki potensi meningkatkan densitas tulang alveolar.

ABSTRACT
Background: Regenerative therapy in vertical bone defect has been shown to be satisfactory, but horizontal defect remains a challenge for clinicians.Objective Evaluate the use of chitosan, chitosan RGD, and combination of PDL cell sheet to increase radiographic density of alveolar bone with horizontal bone defect.
Method and Material: Total samples were 16 and divided into four treatment groups Chitosan, Chitosan RGD, Chitosan PDL cell sheet, and Chitosan RGD PDL cell sheet. Radiographic evaluation was performed four weeks after regenerative surgery.
Result: Alveolar bone radiograph density substraction in chitosan group is 7,31 10,27 chitosan RGD group is 16,70 13,17 chitosan PDL cell sheet group is 19,34 21,46 chitosan RGD PDL cell sheet group is 21,97 7,85.
Conclusions: Chitosan, chitosan RGD, chitosan PDL cell sheet, and chitosan RGD PDL cell sheet application have potential to increase the bone density."
