This thesis is an attempt to describe the class structure in the Prijangan-regencies in West Java, at approximately the turn of the century. Lack of available material has limited this thesis in many respects. It is also realized that a study of clase structure pursued on the spot, where more reliable measurements and greater detail can be used, would be more satisfactory and render grater validity. It is the writer's intention to make a study of the clase structure of a Sundanese community when she returns to Indonesia.' To be able toy do this, she is convinced that certain knowledge of what it was before is indispensable; it is the intention that Ms thesis should provide. such a background. Studies of clase structure in Indonesia have been attempted by vary few Dutch scholars.l While Javanese ar, language and literature have bern studied intensively, class etructre has been dealt with only superficially. Menurut data dari Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), saat ini komunitas banyak muncul di perkotaan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari munculnya beberapa komunitas dengan fokus yang berbeda-beda. Salah satu komunitas muncul adalah Komunitas Historia Indonesia (KHI) yang ada sejak tahun 2003. Berdasarkan wawancara dengan Asep Kambali, Founder KHI, menyatakan bahwa saat ini KHI sedang mengalami masalah yaitu relawan yang tidak aktif dalam beberapa bulan terakhir. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa kurang maksimalnya pengelolaan dari KHI terhadap para relawan. Penulisan karya akhir ini bertujuan untuk merancang serangkaian kegiatan yang dapat meningkatkan penghargaan dan kecintaan masyarakat, terutama para relawan, terhadap sejarah dan budaya Indonesia. ABSTRACT
According to the data from Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), now many communities are appearing in urban. It can be seen from the emergence of some communities have a different focus. One of the communities is Komunitas Historia Indonesia (KHI), which exixted sinced 2003. Based on interviews with Asep Kambali, Founder of KHI, that now KHI was having a problems about the volunteers are not active in recent months. This problem shows that management of KHI about the volunteers less maximal. This final assignment aims to design a series of special event that can promote respect and affection of the people, especially the volunteers, to the history and culture of Indonesia.
