"ABSTRAK
Tesis ini berisi tentang analisis kritis tentang apa saja perubahan sosial yang telah terlihat setelah adanya Pustaka Masyarakat dan bagaimana proses Pustaka Masyarakat menjadi instrumen dalam melakukan perubahan sosial di Desa Parobahan, Jawa Barat. Teori utama yang digunakan untuk menganalisis masalah ini adalah teori John Dewey tentang pendidikan dan perubahan sosial dengan dilengkapi perspektif perubahan sosial berdasar Struktur, Kultur dan Prosesual sesuai dengan pemikiran Paulus Wirutomo. Tesis ini dibuat dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan partisipatoris. Temuan utama adalah bahwa Pustaka Masyarakat dapat memberi dampak pada perubahan struktur pemerintahahan dan kekuasaan di desa, menghadirkan kultur baru dan mempengaruhi kultur yang lama serta terciptanya ruang-ruang publik yang memungkinkan masyarakat menjadi lebih berwawasan dan kritis .Kata kunci: Pustaka masyarakat; perubahan sosial

ABSTRACT
This thesis are critical analysis about impact Society Library for social change and how the library operate to change the society at Parobahan Village, West Java. The main theory to analysis is John Dewey theory especially subject about Education and Social Change with perspective based on theory Paulus Wirutomo about Structure, Culture and Procesual of Social Change. Reseach used qualitatif and partisipatoris method. The main findings are Social Library can have impact to change the structure dan power at the village, presenting and renewing the old culture. Society Library creating public sphere to make the society be more critical and open minded. Keywords Society Library, Social Change"
