"Topik atau judul dari Proyek Mahasiswa ini adalah Rekayasa Ulang Proses Bisnis Kegiatan Akademik Program Studi S1 Fakultas Ilmu Komputer UI. Fasilkom UI, sebagai salah satu bagian dari institusi pendidikan tinggi di Indonesia, memiliki langkah-langkah kerja atau proses bisnis yang dibuat untuk mencapai apa yang menjadi visi, misi, dan tujuannya. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi dan persaingan yang semakin ketat, maka proses bisnis yang telah dibuat dan dijalankan selama ini menjadi kurang efektif dan efisien. Oleh karena itu, proses bisnis yang ada tersebut perlu dilakukan perancangan ulang atau rekayasa ulang proses bisnis (Business Process Reengineering) sehingga menjadi lebih efektif dan efisien dalam pencapaian visi, misi, serta tujuan Fasilkom UI itu sendiri.Pada Proyek Mahasiswa ini, rekayasa ulang proses bisnis dilakukan pada proses bisnis yang ada di Fasilkom UI yang menyangkut bidang akademik. Analisa rekayasa ulang proses bisnis ini dibagi atas dua bagian besar yaitu berdasarkan analisa terhadap resiko atau kontrol dan analisa terhadap kecepatan. Diharapkan, proses bisnis yang dihasilkan dari rekayasa ulang merupakan proses bisnis yang memiliki resiko yang lebih sedikit namun memiliki kecepatan waktu proses yang baik dan cepat. Sehingga dengan rekayasa ulang proses bisnis, menjadikan proses bisnis yang ada di Fasilkom UI menjadi lebih efektif dan efisien dalam pencapaian visi, misi, serta tujuannya."
