ABSTRAK
Di Indonesia, penelitian tentang lempung serpih telah banyak didisikusikan secara luas. Tanah lempung serpih dikenal sebagai material yang dapat berdegradasi. Proses degradasi ini menunjukan perlemahan terhadap kekuatan geser tanah. Karakter dari lempung serpih ini menyebabkan beberapa kegagalan pada desain geoteknik. Untuk memperbaiki dan memanfaatkan tanah tersebut sebagai material timbunan maka dilakukan perbaikan tanah menggunakan bahan stabilisasi. Dalam penelitian terkini, perbaikan tanah menggunakan biosementasi terbukti efektif meningkatkan kekuatan tanah akibat peningkatan produksi CaCO 3 pada tanah pasir sedangkan untuk tanah lempung serpih masih belum banyak didiskusikan. Penelitian ini membandingkan efektifitas penggunaan bahan stabilisasi dengan biosementasi dari enzim urease dan beberapa bahan stabilisasi yang dikenal secara umum yaitu semen, kapur, dan abu sekam padi. Hasil pengujian laboratorium menunjukan bahwa tanah lempung serpih dengan campuran enzim urease dapat meningkatkan kekuatan dan durabilitas dengan pemeraman selama 6 minggu. Sedangkan untuk campuran semen dan kapur dapat meningkatkan kekuatan dan durabilitas pada konsentrasi bahan stabilisasi yang tinggi. Abu sekam padi hanya dapat meningkatkan durabilitas sampel namun terjadi penurunan kekuatan. Campuran bahan stabilisasi terbaik adalah enzim urease dengan kapur dimana pada pengujian XRD terlihat produksi CaCO 3 memiliki persentase konten yang paling tinggi.
ABSTRACT
In Indonesia, the study of clayshale has begun to be widely discussed. Clayshale is well known as a degradable material. The process of degradability in clayshale shows the weakening of the shear strength. This clayshale characteristic leads to several failures in the geotechnical design. To improve and utilize this soil as embankment, soil improvement must be done using stabilzation material. In the latest research, soil improvement using biosementation has been proven to increase soil strength due to increased of CaCo 3 production in sandy soil while for clayshale has not been much discussed. This study compares the effectivenesss of stabilizer material with biosementation of urease enzym and commonly known as stabilizing agent, specifically cement, lime and rice husk ash. From the laboratory test result, clayshale soil with urease enzym mixture could increase strength and durability by 6 week of curing speciment. As for the cement and lime mixture could increase strength and durability at high content of this stabilizing agent. Rice husk ash could increase the durability of the speciment but decrease in strength. The best stabilizing agent for soil mixture was urease enzym with lime which in XRD test show the CaCO 3 production has the highest precentage.

Jalan merupakan salah satu fasilitas umum yang sangat penting. Untuk itu, sebuah jalan harus dibangun sebaik mungkin dan sekuat mungkin, tanpa mengabaikan faktor efisiensi. Selain kuat, jalan juga harus tetap bersifat ekonomis. Kita harus bisa menghasilkan jalan bermutu tinggi dengan biaya serendah mungkin. Salah satu cara untuk menekan biaya adalah dengan mengganti material sirtu yang dipakai sebagai perkerasan lapisan menjadi tanah setempat yang telah distabilkan dengan kapur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sifat dari tanah residual Depok jika distabilkan dengan kapur, serta berapa banyak kapur yang dibutuhkan untuk mencapai kekuatan optimum tanah tersebut.
Road is one of the most important public facility. So, a road has to be built as good and as strong as possible, without neglecting efficiency. Beside has a strength, a road still has to be economic too. We have to build a road with highest standard with a lowest budget. We can change the sub-base material with a residual soil which has been stabilized with lime. This research will find out the behavior of residual soil in Depok if we add it with lime, and how much lime we have to add to reach the optimum strength of that soil.

This book highlights the use of Solidification/Stabilization (S/S) to treat lead-contaminated soils, which are widely present in China. It reveals the evolutionary mechanism of the structural characteristics of Pb contaminated soil during the S/S process. In addition, the book systematically analyzes laws influencing the S/S process and its internal mechanisms, and develops new models for the strength prediction and Pb leaching prediction of S/S monolith. The results can provide essential theoretical guidance and parameter-related support for the design of Pb-contamiated soil S/S remediation and recycling solutions.
