"Film Spy (2015) memberikan penggambaran baru tentang agen rahasia yang belum pernah ditunjukkan dalam film-film Hollywood sebelumnya. Film tersebut menampilkan agen rahasia wanita bernama Susan Cooper sebagai karakter utama dan menggambarkan dirinya sebagai agen rahasia yang lebih mumpuni dalam menjalankan misi dibandingkan dengan agen rahasia laki-laki bernama Rick Ford. Jurnal ini menjabarkan bagaimana penggambaran baru tentang agen rahasia dalam film Spy muncul sebagai kritik atas maskulinitas dan stereotip dominan yang melekat pada tokoh agen rahasia di film-film Hollywood, terutama James Bond. Film Spy dianalisis sebagai teks menggunakan teori oposisi biner pada gender dari Judith Buttler (1990) dan konsep teknik humor dari Buijzen dan Valkenburg (2014), serta teknik humor dari Berger yang dikutip oleh Trisilo (2014). Jurnal ini menjelaskan bahwa film Spy mendekonstruksikan strereotip tradisional agen rahasia dengan cara membalikkan penggambaran yang ada dalam tokoh James Bond melalui tokoh Cooper dan Ford. Spy movie (2015) freshly offers new portrayals of secret agents that have never been shown in Hollywood movie industry. The movie puts the female secret agent character, Susan Cooper, as the leading character and the one that is more capable in carrying field task than the male secret agent, Rick Ford. This paper explores how the new portrayals of secret agent in Spy movie serve as a critic towards masculinity and dominant stereotype of secret agent constructed in Hollywood movies, particularly James Bond.

The movie is analyzed from gender binary opposition perspective by Judith Buttler (1990) and the concept of humor technique from Buijzen and Valkenburg (2014) and humor technique from Berger quoted in Trisilo (2014). This paper discovers that Spy movie deconstructs the traditional stereotype of secret agent by reversing the representations presented in James Bond through Cooper and Ford characters. The reversals strongly proffer the new portrayals of secret agent and deconstruct the traditional stereotypes of secret agent at the same time."

"Berlin sebagai ibukota Jerman tidak hanya dikenal dengan peninggalan historis dalam bentuk budaya material (material culture) seperti monumen atau bangunan dengan gaya arsitektur tertentu, tetapi juga menyimpan kisah spionase dunia pada era Perang Dingin. Sebagai “pusat pertarungan“ ideologi Perang Dingin, Berlin sangat lekat diasosiasikan dengan spionase. Kesan ini sering diangkat sebagai tema berbagai produk media, baik yang diproduksi di dalam atau luar Jerman. Salah satu produk media populer yang mengangkat tema spionase di Berlin adalah serial manga Spy X Family (2019) karya Tetsuya Endo. Penggambaran kota Berlint dalam serial manga ini dapat dimaknai sebagai representasi Berlin pada era Perang Dingin. Dengan menganalisis serial manga ini secara semiotik, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperlihatkan bagaimana Berlin sebagai wilayah sentral pada era Perang Dingin direpresentasikan dalam budaya populer. Analisis semiotik terhadap penggambaran landscape dan kehidupan di kota Berlint dalam manga Spy X Family ini merepresentasikan kota Berlin sebagai pusat spionase yang tertata rapi dan menyediakan ruang tinggal yang layak bagi penduduknya.

Berlin is not only known for its historical heritage in the form of material culture, such as monuments or buildings with a particular architectural style, but also for keeping stories of world espionage during the Cold War era. As the arena of ideology contestation of the Cold War, Berlin is closely associated with espionage. This impression is often used as the theme of various media products produced inside and outside Germany. One of the popular media products with the theme of espionage in Berlin is the manga series Spy X Family (2019) by Tetsuya Endo. The depiction of the city of Berlint in this manga series can be interpreted as a representation of Berlin during the Cold War era. By analyzing this manga series semiotically, this study aims to reveal how Berlin, as a central region during the Cold War era, was represented in popular culture. This semiotic analysis of the depiction of landscape and life in the city of Berlint in the Spy X Family manga represents the city of Berlin as an espionage center that is neatly arranged and provides decent living space for its inhabitants."

"Penelitian ini membahas mengenai bentuk dan konteks tindak tutur ekspresif bahasa Jepang pada anime Spy X Family. Penelitian dengan metode kualitatif ini menggunakan teori tindak tutur yang dikemukakan oleh J.L. Austin yang kemudian disempurnakan oleh John R. Searle. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi bentuk tindak tutur ekspresif anime Spy X Family beserta penggunaannya. Tindak tutur ekspresif yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini adalah tindak tutur ekspresif meminta maaf, berterima kasih, penyesalan, dan menyambut. Adapun tindak tutur meminta maaf dan berterima kasih merupakan tindak tutur yang lebih banyak ditemukan dan penggunaan kedua tindak tutur memiliki variasi yang beragam, Keberagaman pilihan tindak tutur ini dalam percakapan sehari-sehari bergantung pada konteks situasi dan kedudukan sosial mitra tutur.

This study discusses the form and context of Japanese expressive speech acts in the anime Spy X Family. This qualitative research uses the theory of speech acts put forward by J.L. Austin, which was later perfected by John R. Searle. The purpose of this research is to identify the forms of expressive speech acts in the anime Spy X Family and their uses. The expressive speech acts found in this study are those of apologizing, thanking, regretting, and welcoming. The speech acts of apologizing and thanking are more commonly found, and the use of the two speech acts has various variations. The diversity of these speech acts in everyday conversation depends on the context of the situation and the social position of the speech partners."

"Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk menunjukkan bagaimana unsur-unsur humor digunakan untuk memarodikan konsep maskulinitas agen rahasia dalam film Austin Powers : International Man of Mystery dan Austin Powers : The Spy Who Shagged Me dan menunjukkan bagaimana parodi dan tawa bekerja untuk mempertahankan atau menolak sebuah ideologi dominan maskulinitas agen rahasia James Bond. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengidentifikasi tipologi humor yang digunakan dalam kedua film dan membandingkan atribut-atribut maskulinitas Austin Powers dengan konsep maskulinitas agen rahasia ideal menggunakan pendekatan semiotik. Penelitian menemukan bahwa di satu sisi kedua film berusaha untuk membongkar konsep maskulinitas ideal tersebut, sementara di sisi lain ditemukan juga adanya peneguhan konsep maskulinitas ideal yang dilakukan oleh kedua film.

The purpose of this thesis is to show how the typology of humor in parody films is used in Austin Powers : International Man of Mystery and The Spy Who Shagged Me to strengthen and/or resist the dominant ideology represented by the ideal male secret agent masculinity ideology in James Bond movies. The analysis is conducted by identifying the typology of humor used in the films and comparing Austin Powers’ masculinity attributes to the ideal secret agent masculinity attributes using semiotic approach. The findings reveal that the films strengthen and resist the ideal masculinity concept simultaneously."
