The theory and associated algorithms for service specification verification are detailed using formal models like Petrinet, FSM and UML. "Penggunaan bahan bakar minyak pada kereta diesel menghasilkan emisi gas rumah kaca yang berkontribusi terhadap pemanasan global. Kereta lintas provinsi adalah salah satu moda transportasi umum di Indonesia yang masih menggunakan mesin diesel sebagai sumber tenaga utamanya yang menghasilkan emisi yang cukup signifikan. Untuk mengurangi emisi dari kereta diesel, dikembangkan kereta dengan tenaga hibrid, yaitu menggabungkan sumber tenaga diesel dan listrik. Sistem tenaga hibrid ini memerlukan strategi manajemen energi untuk mengatur distribusi suplai daya dari masing-masing sumber sehingga dapat meminimalkan penggunaan tenaga diesel serta tetap dapat memenuhi kebutuhan beban agar tercapai efisiensi optimal dan mengurangi emisi. Besar keperluan daya diestimasi dengan metode kendali rule-based terhadap kondisi kereta secara real time dengan mensimulasikannya dalam driving cycle perjalanan kereta nyata. Selain itu, penerapan regenerative braking juga digunakan yang merupakan metode yang cukup baik dalam meningkatkan efisiensi sistem. Pada studi ini, dilakukan simulasi kendali kereta hibrid diesel-listrik menggunakan strategi manajemen energi berbasis state machine dan logika fuzzy serta memanfaatkan regenerative braking pada driving cycle perjalanan kereta serta mengevaluasi besar efisiensi dari pengendalian tersebut. Tingkat penggunaan bahan bakar diesel berhasil dikurangi sebesar 0.65% pada strategi state machine dan sebesar 46.64% pada strategi fuzzy logic dengan tetap memenuhi kebutuhan daya perjalanan kereta.
......The use of diesel fuel in diesel trains produces greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to global warming. Cross-province trains are one of the common modes of transportation in Indonesia that still use diesel engines as their main power source, resulting in significant emissions. To reduce emissions from diesel trains, hybrid trains have been developed, combining diesel and electric power sources. This hybrid power system requires energy management strategies to regulate the distribution of power supply from each source, minimizing the use of diesel power while meeting the load requirements for optimal efficiency and emission reduction. The power demand is estimated using a rule-based control method based on real-time train conditions, simulated in the driving cycle of actual train journeys. Additionally, the application of regenerative braking is utilized as a method to improve system efficiency. In this study, a simulation of diesel-electric hybrid train control is conducted using a state machine-based energy management strategy and fuzzy logic, while also utilizing regenerative braking in the train's driving cycle. The efficiency of these control methods is evaluated. The level of diesel fuel usage was successfully reduced by 0.65% with the state machine strategy and by 46.64% with the fuzzy logic strategy, while still meeting the power requirements for the train journey."

"Banyaknya gedung bertingkat yang sangat tinggi saat ini menyebabkan elevator semakin dibutuhkan. Elevator bergerak pada setiap lantai di dalam gedung tersebut untuk melayani permintaan orang-orang yang ingin menaiki atau menuruni lantai. Pergerakan elevator tersebut diatur oleh sebuah sistem kontrol elevator. Skripsi ini membahas mengenai pembentukan model dan simulasi dari sistem kontrol elevator tersebut. Model tersebut mengatur pergerakan untuk satu elevator dalam melayani permintaan secara selective collective control (S/C). Model ini dibagi menjadi tiga bagian yaitu unit control, request resolver dan tombol-tombol pada elevator. Unit control dan tombol-tombol pada elevator akan dimodelkan dengan menggunakan Finite State Machine with Datapath (FSMD). Model sistem kontrol elevator tersebut akan diimplementasikan ke dalam bahasa pemograman Delphi. Kemudian model tersebut akan disimulasikan sehingga bisa dilihat pergerakan elevator dalam melayani setiap permintaan dari para pengguna."

After a brief introduction on the conventional soft robot and its allied materials, it presents the new conceptual liquid-metal machine, which revolutionizes existing rigid robots, both large and small. It outlines the typical features of the soft liquid-metal materials and describes the various transformation capabilities, mergence of separate metal droplets, self-rotation and planar locomotion of liquid-metal objects under external or internal mechanism. In turn, it presents a range of design methodologies. Considerable attention is paid to the hardware implementation of computational algorithms.
