"Artikel ini membahas bagaimana Yayasan Kumala, Organisasi Non Pemerintah dan Non Profit Nirlaba , berperan dalam menanggulangi masalah kesejahteraan sosial melalui program community development. Dalam pembahasan artikel ini memaparkan prinsip-prinsip dari community development dengan menambahkan dengan peran mitra komunitas sehingga mendukung terciptanya sustainable community development. Argumen bahwa program pemberdayaan yang sesuai dengan prinsip community development di dukung dengan peran mitra, maka akan ada pendampingan, serta adanya pembinaan dalam mengelola komunitas dapat menciptakan sustainable community development. Sehingga penelitian ini memaparkan adanya hubungan kemitraan yang dilakukan yayasan dengan perusahaan dalam pendampingan komunitas yang dapat mendukung pemberdayaan masyarakat. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode wawancara mendalam. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah adanya mitra yang dapat menopang serta mendampingi komunitas sehingga dapat terus mengembangkan potensi dalam komunitas dan menciptakan sustainable community development.

This article shows how the Kumala Foundation, a Non Governmental Organization and Non Profit Non profit ,has a role in resolve the social welfare problems through community development programs. In the discussion this article describes the principles of community development by adding the role of community partners to support the creation of sustainable community development. The argument that the empowerment program in accordance with the principle of community development is supported by the role of partners, there will be assistance and a guidance in managing the community that can create sustainable community development. This research describes the existence of partnership relationship conducted by the foundation with the company in community assistance that can support community empowerment. The approach used in this research is qualitative with in depth interview method. The result of this research is the existence of partners that can support and assist the community so as to continue to develop the potential in the community and create sustainable community development."

"ABSTRACTThis study examines the structural relationships between TQM, Reengineering, Operational Excellence in downstream and upstream sectors, Reformation, and sustainable community development program. A good understanding of how oil and gas industry should integrate mainstreaming the approach to sustainable community development into policymaking. Sustainable community development should be implemented by considering the links between change management trough TQM and reengineering, operational excellence applications, and the real reformation. Recognizing that contributors of reformation (via the amendment of law of the Republic Indonesia No. 22/2001 concerning oil and natural gas) in the sustainable community development is a key component in the Indonesia's economy reform and recovery.Empirical evidences find that seven causal paths specified in the hypothesized model were found to be positive and statistically significant. Furthermore empirical results suggest that reengineering has positive and significant indirect effect on sustainable community development program through its direct effect on operational excellence in supply chain and reformation. The results is also shows that a complete model fit and the acceptable parameter which indicate the overall parameter are good fit between the hypothesize model and the observed data. By concentrating on a single industry (oil and gas) is that SEM specification of the structural relationship model between six constructs can be more complete and specific because unique characteristics of the oil and gas industry can be included (upstream and downstream activities). Finally, the particular design of the research and the findings suggest that the structural model of the study has a great potential for replication to business as well as public sectors. "
