"Asma dan Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronis (PPOK) merupakan kondisi kesehatan yang melibatkan sistem pernapasan dan dapat menyebabkan kesulitan bernapas. Bentuk sediaan inhalasi lebih dipilih dalam pengobatan asma dan PPOK karena memiliki kinerja langsung ke jalan napas dan memberikan konsentrasi lokal yang tinggi. Symbicort Turbuhaler™ merupakan bentuk Dry Powder Inhaler (DPI) yang mengandung bahan aktif kombinasi ICS-LABA yaitu budesonide dan formoterol. Pasien asma dan PPOK harus menggunakan alat terapi inhalasi dengan benar agar hasil terapi yang diperoleh optimal. Namun, data menunjukkan 50 – 80% pasien gagal menggunakan inhaler mereka dengan benar. Oleh karena itu sebagai apoteker, wajib memberikan penjelasan penggunaan inhaler yang benar kepada pasien seperti melalui Pelayanan Informasi Obat (PIO) dengan bantuan media edukasi kesehatan seperti leaflet yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keberhasilan terapi. Leaflet dibuat berdasarkan penelusuran literatur melalui search engine yang kemudian informasinya dikumpulkan dan disusun dengan baik. Desain leaflet dibuat melalui website Canva. Adapun informasinya memuat tentang definisi, indikasi, kandungan turbuhaler, jenis, DAGUSIBU (dapatkan, gunakan, simpan, buang), bagian turbuhaler, cara mempersiapkan alat, dan cara menggunakan sehari-hari yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keberhasilan terapi bagi pasien.

Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) are health conditions that involve the respiratory system and can cause difficulty breathing. Inhaled dosage forms are preferred in the treatment of asthma and COPD because they act directly into the airway and provide high local concentrations. Symbicort Turbuhaler™ is a form of Dry Powder Inhaler (DPI) which contains the active ingredients of the ICS-LABA combination, namely budesonide and formoterol. Asthma and COPD patients must use inhalation therapy devices correctly to obtain optimal therapy results. However, data shows 50 – 80% of patients fail to use their inhalers correctly. Therefore, as a pharmacist, you are obliged to provide explanations about the correct use of inhalers to patients, such as through the Drug Information Service (PIO) with the help of health education media such as leaflets which are expected to increase the success of therapy. The leaflet was created based on literature searches via search engines where the information was then collected and arranged properly. The leaflet design was created via the Canva website. The information contains definitions, indications, turbuhaler content, types, DAGUSIBU (get, use, store, throw away), turbuhaler parts, how to prepare the tool, and how to use it daily which is expected to increase the success of therapy for patients."
