"ABSTRAK
Sebuah plaza di Kota New York bernama Plaza Javitz mengalami empat tahap perubahan. Perubahan terjadi akibat adanya penambahan objek-objek yang mengintervensi perubahan pola pergerakan dan penggunaan ruang di plaza. Intervensi setiap objek memberikan pemaknaan yang berbeda bagi plaza. Manusia memberikan makna ketika mengalami sebuah ruang. Makna yang diberikan berupa hasil interaksi manusia dengan objek dalam ruang melalui persepsi. Perubahan makna dapat terjadi akibat adanya kualitas pemaknaan yang dihasilkan sebuah tempat. Skripsi ini mencoba membahas bagaimana makna ruang plaza berubah akibat adanya intervensi objek. Penulisan ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui peran objek dalam proses pemaknaan pada ruang plaza tersebut.

ABSTRAK
A plaza in New York City named Plaza Javitz underwent four stages of change. Changes occur due to the addition of objects that interfere with changes in the pattern of movement and use of space in the plaza. Intervention of each object provides a different meaning for the plaza. Humans give meaning while in space. The meaning given is the result of human interaction with objects in space through perception. Changes in meaning can occur due to the quality of meaning generated a place. This thesis tries to discuss how the meaning of plaza space changed due to object intervention. This writing aims to know the role of objects in the process of meaning in the plaza space. "

"Branding suatu wilayah saat ini berjalan sangat dinamis, kompetitif, dan penting. Upaya untuk memasarkan potensi sebuah tempat kepada daerah lain adalah dengan strategi membangun merek (branding). Penelitian place branding di kawasan Golf Island menjadi sangat penting karena branding diperlukan untuk membantu memperkuat dan mengelola identitas tempat agar dapat menarik pengunjung, penduduk, dan investasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi persebaran citra tempat yang terbentuk berdasarkan pendapat masyarakat di Kawasan Golf Island. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode Netnografi. Netnografi merupakan metode yang secara khusus dirancang untuk mempelajari interaksi manusia dan komunitas online/daring. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Kawasan Golf Island PIK sudah memiliki logo dan slogan yang menggambarkan karakteristik wilayahnya serta dapat menyampaikan pesan yang ingin disampaikan oleh kawasan tersebut dengan baik. Kawasan Golf Island juga memiliki berbagai macam arsitektur ikonik yang tersebar dengan fungsionalitas dan keunikannya masing-masing. Terdapat beberapa citra tempat yang terbentuk di Kawasan Golf Island, antara lain: “Pusat Kuliner”, “Kawasan dengan Tempat/Pemandangan yang Baik”, dan “Kawasan dengan Konsep/Desain Bangunan yang Baik” sebagai citra positif. “Kawasan Ramai” dan Kawasan Panas” sebagai citra negatif. Persebaran citra positif dan citra negatif yang dimiliki Kawasan Golf Island tersebar secara merata diseluruh Kawasan Golf Island. Place branding yang ada sesuai dengan citra tempat yang terbentuk. Hal ini terbukti dengan kesesuaian tema branding yang digunakan pengembang dengan citra yang terbentuk mengenai Kawasan Golf Island oleh pengunjung.

The branding of a region is currently undergoing dynamic, competitive, and significant changes. The effort to market the potential of a place to other areas is achieved through the strategy of building a brand. Place branding research in the Golf Island Area has become crucial because branding is necessary to strengthen and manage the identity of a place in order to attract visitors, residents, and investments. This study aims to identify the perception of the place formed based on the opinions of the community in the Golf Island. This research is a qualitative study conducted using the Netnography method. Netnography is a method specifically designed to study human interactions and digital communities. The results of this study indicate that the Golf Island PIK Area already has a logo and slogan that depict the characteristics of the region and effectively convey the desired message of the area. The Golf Island region also features a variety of iconic architecture spread throughout with their respective functionality and uniqueness. Several place images have emerged in the Golf Island region, including "Culinary Center," "Area with Good Places/Scenery," and "Area with Good Building Concepts/Designs" as positive images, while "Crowded Area" and "Hot Area" as negative images. The distribution of positive and negative place images in the Golf Island region is evenly spread across the entire area. The existing place branding aligns with the formed place images, as evidenced by the consistency between the branding theme used by developers and the perception of the Golf Island region by visitors. "

Student loyalty merupakan upaya mahasiswa untuk tetap menjalin hubungan dengan kampusnya yang ditunjukkan dengan berbagai perilaku positif yang menguntungkan kampus. Agar bisa tetap bertahan dan memastikan keberlangsungannya, perguruan tinggi berupaya untuk membangun student loyalty pada mahasiswanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah student satisfaction dapat memediasi hubungan antara place attachment terhadap kampus dan student loyalty pada mahasiswa. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah 133 mahasiswa S1 Perguruan Tinggi Negeri, Swasta, dan Keagamaan di Indonesia dengan rentang usia (M = 21.38; SD = 0.95). Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan adanya direct effect yang signifikan antara place attachment terhadap student loyalty (β = 0.2312, p < 0.001). Analisis mediasi menggunakan PROCESS dari Hayes versi 4.2 juga menunjukkan adanya indirect effect yang membuktikan student satisfaction berperan sebagai mediator terhadap hubungan antara place attachment dan student loyalty (β = 0,2197, 95% CI [0,1505, 0,2972]). Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi rekomendasi bagi perguruan tinggi untuk mempertimbangkan place attachment terhadap kampus dan student satisfaction dalam membuat berbagai strategi dan kebijakan yang bertujuan untuk membangun loyalitas mahasiswa.

 


Student loyalty is an effort by students to maintain a relationship with their campus, shown by various positive behaviors that bring benefits to the campus. In order to survive and ensure its sustainability, higher education institutions are focusing on building the loyalty of their students. This study aims to see whether student satisfaction mediates the relationship between place attachment to campus and student loyalty among university students. The participants in this study consisted of 133 undergraduate students from public, private, and religious universities in Indonesia with an age range (M = 21.38; SD = 0.95). Regression analysis showed a significant direct effect between place attachment and student loyalty (β = 0.2312, p < 0.001). Mediation analysis using PROCESS from Hayes version 4.2 also shows an indirect effect that proves student satisfaction acts as a mediator of the relationship between place attachment and student loyalty (β = 0.2197, 95% CI [0.1505, 0.2972]). The results of this study can be a recommendation for higher education institutions to consider place attachment to campus and student satisfaction in making various strategies and policies aimed at building student loyalty.

"Place has certain connotations that are involved in shaping the identity of an individual or a community. Due to the importance of place or location in identity formation, Cultural Studies has its own area of analysis focusing on the understanding of place, which is cultural geography. Peter Jackson (1989: 23, quoted by Giles and Middleton 1999: 104) defines cultural geography as a study on how cultures are constituted by social practises occurring in certain contexts which are influenced by historical and geographical factors. The discussion of artistic works centred on the role of place in identity formation becomes an interesting analysis. This research focuses on Rudi Soejarwo?s film Mendadak Dangdut ('Suddenly Dangdut'). The film?s setting is a densely populated district in Jakarta. As the plot centres around this setting, an analysis of how place influences the identity formation of the film?s main character becomes significant. The research is made using approaches in cultural geography, along with two key concepts in Cultural Studies, which are identity and representation. It is aimed at finding a new consciousness as to how urban context, especially that related to an understanding of place, takes part in the formation of identity of individuals and communities."
