Ujunggenteng adalah lokasi yang banyak terdapat terumbu karang dan sebagai kampung nelayan, banyak aktivitas manusia yang terjadi diatas terumbu karang yang menyebabkan rusaknya terumbu karang, tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui karakteristik lokasi terumbu karang pada perairan sekitar Ujunggenteng, serta mengetahui apa saja faktor yang menyebabkan kerusakan terumbu karang dari faktor fisik dan faktor manusia menggunakan metode Lyzenga. Faktor fisik terumbu karang, suhu permukaan laut, salinitas dan arus permukaan laut diperoleh melalui hasil pengolahan citra Landsat 5-TM dan Landsat 8-OLI yang di padukan dengan survei lapangan. Faktor manusia merupakan faktor utama pada kerusakan terumbu karang dengan perubahan yang besar berada pada wilayah dekat dengan tubir yang menghadap langsung ke arah laut lepas.

ABSTRACT
Ujunggenteng is the location that there are many coral reefs and as a fishing village, many human activities that occur on coral reefs which cause the destruction of coral reefs, the purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristics of the location of the coral reefs in the waters around Ujunggenteng, and to know what are the factors that cause damage to reefs corals of physical factors and human factors using methods Lyzenga. Physical factors coral reefs, sea surface temperature, salinity and sea surface currents obtained through the processing of Landsat 5 TM and Landsat-8-OLI is in the mix with field surveys. The human factor is a major factor in the destruction of coral reefs with large changes that are in the area close to the edge facing directly toward the open sea.
