"Penelitian ini merupakan sebuah usaha untuk menunjukkan adanya proses ko-evolusi di antara perusahaan-perusahaan dalam industri tekstil dan pakaian di Indonesia, dengan pemerintah sebagai perwakilan dari lembaga lokal. Hasil dari riset menunjukkan bahwa seiringnya waktu, perubahan dalam lembaga lokal telah terjadi dalam industri yang di jelaskan oleh beberapa faktor regulasi dan juga kondisi perekonomian negara yang turut berkontribusi dalam kecepatan proses ko-evolusi tersebut. Sebuah fokus dari beberapa kasus seperti: penerapan kebijakan; krisis moneter di Indonesia, dan perkembangan teknologi telah disediakan sebagai pendukung argumen. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa proses ko-evolusi melalui adaptasi bersama diantara pelaku dapat mempercepat dan telah berkontribusi dalam perkembangan ekonomi negara secara keseluruhan.

This research is an exploratory attempt to show the co-evolutionary relationship between Indonesian firms in the textile and garment industry, and the local government as a representative of local institutions. The result shows that institutional changes occurred within the industry were driven by several regulated factors and the country's economic condition affected the speed of co-evolution. A focus on cases such as: various policy implementations, Indonesian monetary crisis, and technological development are provided for further support. This research shows that co-evolutionary process by mutual adaptation between the actors enables faster and overall economic growth of the country in general."

"AbstractWe try to analyze the impact of Chinese Textile and Garment (T&G) imports, and the internal and external factors to the firm survival and growth of T&G industry in Indonesia, for the period study of 2002 to 2007. Probit regression model is used to analyze the impact of Chinese imports to the survival of firm, while OLS regression model is used to analyze its growth. It shows that the ability of firms' survival is influenced by the internal and external factors. The Chinese imports give positive impact to the firms' survival ability. On the other hand, firm's growth is only affected by its internal characteristics, while the impact of Chinese imports is proven not significant. The Heckman test result stated that there are no correlation between firms' ability to survive and the firm growth behavior.AbstrakStudi ini menganalisis dampak dari penetrasi impor TPT Cina, faktor internal, serta faktor eksternal terhadap kebertahanan dan pertumbuhan perusahaan dalam industri TPT Indonesia periode tahun 2002-2007. Metode probit regression digunakan untuk mengetahui dampak impor Cina terhadap kebertahanan perusahaan, sementara regresi linear sederhana (OLS) digunakan untuk menganalisis pertumbuhannya. Ditemukan bahwa kebertahanan perusahaan dipengaruhi oleh karakteristik internal dan eksternal, serta impor Cina yang memberikan dampak positif. Sementara pertumbuhan perusahaan hanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal, di mana impor Cina tidak memberikan dampak signikan. Hasil pengujian Heckman menyatakan tidak ada indikasi hubungan antara kebertahanan perusahaan dengan perilaku pertumbuhannya."

"Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melakukan investigasi atas pengaruh dan proses penerbitan Global Bond dari PT. XYZ terhadap kinerja keuangan dan kemampuan penciptaan nilai tambah perusahaan menggunakan metode Economic Value Added (EVA). Tujuannya adalah untuk mengukur kemampuan perusahaan untuk menciptakan nilai tambah dan mencapai target kinerja keuangan. Selanjutnya hasil tersebut akan dibandingkan dengan 4 (empat) perusahaan lainnya di Industri Tekstil dan Produk Tekstil (Industri TPT). Hasil yang didapatkan adalah Industri TPT mengalami tekanan dari kondisi perekonomian global dan persaingan, yang berimbas pada nilai EVA yang negatif. Selain itu penerbitan Global Bond dari PT. XYZ juga tidak meningkatkan nilai tambah serta kinerja keuangan dari SRIL. Penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan gambaran bagaimana Global Bond dapat menjadi alternatif pendanaan untuk perusahaan Industri TPT.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the process and effect of Global Bond issuance from PT. XYZ towards it financial performance and value added creation using Economic Value Added (EVA). The purpose are to measure the ability of the company to create value added and achieve its financial performance target. The EVA score from SRIL will be compared with 4 (four) others company in Textile and Product Textile Industry (TPT Industry). The EVA results prove that TPT Industry are under pressure from global economics condition and business competition. Global Bond issuance does not improve PT. XYZ financial performance. Furthermore, this research aim to understand whether Global Bond issuance is an appropriate financial policy for TPT Industry company."
