"ABSTRAK
Tulisan ini memuat analisis tekstual dua ragam sastra lisan Minangkabau, yaitu dendang Pauah dan rebab Pesisir Selatan. Analisis tekstual ini difokuskan pada aspek kebahasaan teks kedua ragam sastra 1isan itu.
Tujuan analisis adalah untuk mengetahui aturan yang mengua­ sai penci ptaan teks sastra 1isan tersebut. Teks sastra lisan tersebut didendangkan oleh pendendangnya tanpa naskah dengan kecepatan dan ketepatan yang mengagumkan, padaha1 penciptaan itu tunduk pada aturan matra yang ketat. Oalam satu malam pertunjukan tercipta tidak kurang dari 2500-an baris. Mengingat panjangnya teks itu, mustahil ia diciptakan dengan teknik penghapalan. Lagi pula berdasarkan perbandingan hasil pertunjukan ragam yang sama (bahkan oleh pendendang yang sama pula), terlihat bahwa teks yang dihasilkan memiliki variasi. Ini menunjukkan bahwa proses pencip­ taan atau penggubahan teks itu bukan dengan cara penghapalan.
Secara teori, budaya ke1isanan adalah budaya mengingat(remembering), sedangkan budaya keberaksaraan terkait erat dengan penghapa1an (memorisasi). Oleh karenanya dapat diasumsikan bahwa dalam penciptaan teks sastra lisan yang panjang itu dengan kete­ patan dan ketepatan yang mengagumkan, tanpa naskah, tunduk kepada aturan matra yang ketat, pendendang memiliki "kunci" tertentu. Seorang peneliti, Albert B. Lord, telah membuktikan adanya "kunci" itu dalam penciptaan teks sastra lisan Yugoslavia; Kata­ nya, penciptaan teks satra lisan tersebut oleh para gus7ar (pendendang sastra 1isan di Yugos1avia) dituntun oleh formu1a tertentu. Ia merumuskan formu1a itu sebagai "seperangkat unsur bahasa yang siap pakai yang secara teratur digunakan dalam kon disi matra yang sama untuk mengungkapkan ide yang hakiki."
Teori tersebut diaplikasikan dalam analisis terhadap teks dendang pauah dan rebab Pesisir Selatan. Hasil analisis itu membuktikan bahwa baik dalam teks dendang Pauah yang berbentuk pantun, maupun teks rebab Pesisir Selatan yang berbentuk prosa liris terdapat formula yang menjadi pedoman pengubahan bagi pendendangnya. Formula tersebut terdapat pada tataran kouplet, kelompok baris yang berpasangan, satu baris, dan bagian baris (tingkat frasa, klausa, kata, dan suku kata).
Pada teks dengan Pauah, intensitas pengoperasian formula itu tinggi dalam baris-baris sampiran; banyak ditemukan konstruksi (bagian) baris sampiran yang sama yang dipasangkan dengan baris-baris isi yang berbeda-beda. Pada teks rebab Pesisir Selatan operasional formula itu tampak pada keseluruhan baris dengan satu pola formula. Jadi, dalam masyarakat niraksara, tidak ada teks atau wacana yang baku. Penyelamatan dan pentransformasian hasil budaya dalam masyarakat niraksara sangat tergantung kepada keformulaikan wacana."

"Tesis ini membahas tentang produksi pesan video di Youtube. Produksi pesan video blogging dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bagaimana isu-isu agama dikemas dalam sebuah video. Dengan menggunakan analisis tekstual kualitatif melalui metode analisis wacana Teun Van Dijk ditemukan (1) bahwa produksi pesan video sangat berkaitan erat dengan latar belakang, pengetahuan, pengalaman, dan nilai-nilai budaya pembuat video. (2) Bahwa gaya bicara langsung, lugas, dan berterus terang merepresentasikan budaya low context yang secara tidak langsung menggambarkan nuansa liberalisme pemikiran yang kental. (3) Penggunaan humor dan bahasa vulgar yang tertanam dalam video merupakan pendukung utama penyampaian pesan.

This thesis discusses the production of video message on YouTube. Video blogging message production shows how religious issues are packed in the video. By using qualitative textual analysis through Teun Van Dijk discourse method found; (1) video messages production are intimately associated with the background, knowledge, experience, and cultural values of the video maker (2) That the direct speaking style, to speak fluent, and fortright represent a low context culture, which indirectly describes liberalism thought (3) The use of humor and vulgar language embedded in the video is the main support to delivery the messages."

Makalah ini membahas stereotip media dari pria homoseksual dan unsur heteroseksisme dalam film the Imitation Game. Sebagai film independen yang paling banyak ditonton pada tahun 2014, the Imitation Game adalah karya bertema homosexual seperti pendahulunya Will and Grace (1998-2006) dan Brokeback Mountain (2005). Penelitian menggunakan teori analisis tekstual oleh Alan McKee untuk membahas unsur mise-en-scene dan narasi. Ditemukan bahwa meskipun Alan Turing sebagai tokoh utama terlihat berlawanan dengan stereotip pria gay, beberapa ciri karakternya masih terikat kepada stereotip homoseksual di media - yaitu feminin, flamboyan, dan menjadi penjahat/ korban. Selain itu, unsur heteroseksisme yang terjadi di the Imitation Game adalah formula berulang yang juga terjadi pada Will dan Grace dan Brokeback Mountain. Walaupun komunitas LGBT telah diterima di masyarakat Amerika, media AS sendiri masih butuh waktu untuk benar-benar merepresentasikan homoseksualitas tanpa unsur hetero-normativitas.Makalah ini membahas stereotip media dari pria homoseksual dan unsur heteroseksisme dalam film the Imitation Game. "ABSTRAK
Objektifikasi seksual terhadap perempuan terjadi ketika perempuan dianggap sebagai objek. Selain di interaksi sosial secara langsung, objektifikasi seksual juga muncul di berbagai media, seperti prosa, film, serta iklan. Makalah ini membahas objektifikasi seksual terhadap perempuan di iklan Carl's Jr. yang disiarkan di acara Super Bowl pada tahun 2012, 2013, dan 2015, peran laki-laki dalam iklan tersebut, serta perubahan dalam objektifikasi seksual dalam tiga iklan yang akan dibahas. Analisis tekstual akan digunakan dalam makalah ini. Selain itu, Skala Objektifikasi Seksual yang diciptakan oleh Rachel Allyn juga akan digunakan untuk menilai objektifikasi seksual di iklan secara kuantitatif. Dalam skala ini, perempuan dalam iklan akan dinilai berdasarkan empat aspek, yaitu pakaian, posisi terhadap benda atau orang lain, bagian tubuh terlihat, dan slogan/kopi/dialog dalam iklan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua iklan yang dianalisis mendapatkan nilai 4 dari maksimum 4 dalam skala. Selain itu, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa laki-laki di dalam iklan mempunyai peran untuk meningkatkan objektifikasi seksual terhadap perempuan di dalam iklan. Terakhir, penelitian ini menunjukkan peningkatan objektifikasi seksual terhadap perempuan yang tidak signifikan dalam iklan Carl's Jr. di acara Super Bowl 2012 hingga 2015.ABSTRACT

Not only happens in real life, sexual objectification can manifest in media such as prose, films, as well as advertisements. This paper examines sexual objectification towards women in Carl?s Jr commercials broadcasted during Super Bowl games in 2012, 2013 and 2015, the role of men within the commercials, and changes in sexual objectification in the commercials. In doing so, textual analysis will be used. Furthermore, a Sexual Objectification Scale made by Rachel Allyn is also used to score the sexual objectification in commercials quantitatively. In this scale, woman in advertisement is scored on four aspects, which are the women?s dress, woman?s position in relation to the product or another person, woman?s body parts shown, and the slogan/copy/dialogue of the advertisement. The result shows that all commercials analysed score an overall 4 in the scale. Furthermore, the study shows that men in the commercials mainly intensify the sexual objectification towards women in commercials. Lastly, the study shows increases, albeit not significant, in sexual objectification in the commercials from 2012 to 2015.;Sexual objectification of women happens when women are treated merely as object. "ABSTRAK
Representasi perempuan merupakan salah satu masalah utama di dalam dunia politik. Hal ini mendorong munculnya berbagai acara televisi berunsur politik yang mendiskusikan masalah tersebut. Serial televisi Veep 2012- merupakan salah satu acara yang memberikan pandangan mengenai signifikansi perempuan di dalam politik Amerika Serikat melalui karakterisasi tokoh Selina Meyer. Melalui analisis tekstual dari humor sarkas dalam satir yang digunakan untuk mengkritisi peran politisi perempuan oleh tokoh tersebut, artikel ini menemukan bahwa karakter Selina dibuat sedemikian rupa sebagai perwujudan dari kritik sosial.

ABSTRACT
Women rsquo;s under-representation in politics is still a main issue. This encourages the emergence of political television shows in which the particular issue is addressed. One if the example is Veep 2012- which provides an insight of the women rsquo;s significance in the U.S. politics through the characterization of Selina Meyer. Through textual analysis of her use of sarcastic humor in satirizing female politicians rsquo; issues in politics, this article discovers that Selina rsquo;s characterization is shaped in particular way to embody social criticism.

"ABSTRAK
Media arus utama dan industri perfilman mulai menampilkan sisi lain dari Wall Street sejak terjadinya krisis finansial di tahun 2008. Margin Call 2011 adalah salah satu dari beberapa film yang menggambarkan situasi para pekerja Wall Street ketika mereka harus menghadapi krisis finansial pada saat itu. Alur cerita film ini memiliki beberapa kesamaan dengan kejadian bangkrutnya perusahaan Lehman Brothers di dunia nyata yang dimana menceritakan tentang kondisi para pekerja dalam sebuah firma yang berusaha menyelamatkan diri mereka dari kebangkrutan perusahaan ketika terjadinya krisis finansial. Film ini dipilih menjadi objek analisis dengan pertimbangan bahwa film ini menyiratkan banyak ujaran persuasive. Merujuk pada kategorisasi teknik persuasi oleh Barbara Johnstone 1989 , artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis berbagai macam teknik persuasi yang digunakan oleh para pekerja Wall Street melalui analisis percakapan pada dialog formal dan informal antar karakter dalam film. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa baik konteks percakapan formal maupun informal memiliki preferensi teknik persuasinya masing-masing. Sebagai kesimpulan, analisis ini menunjukan bahwa narasi dalam film ini dapat ditelaah lebih jauh lagi dengan menggunakan pendekatan analisis tekstual.

ABSTRACT
Mainstream media and film industry have started to explore the unrevealed side of Wall Street after the 2008 financial crisis erupted. Margin Call 2011 is one of the films that portrayed the situation of Wall Street workers when they have to deal with the financial crisis. The movie plot has similarities with real-life event of Lehman Brother bankruptcy in which it portrays the condition of the workers within a firm that should save themselves from a bankruptcy during the financial crisis. The movie is chosen to be the source of analysis because of the consideration that the film contains many persuasion speeches. By considering Barbara Johnstone 39;s 1989 categorization of persuasion techniques, this article aims to examine various persuasion techniques used by the Wall Street worker through conversational analysis on the dialogues of the characters within the film in both formal and informal contexts. The findings of this analysis show that both formal and informal occasion speech have their own most preferable technique of persuasion. To sum up, this analysis shows that the narrative within this film can be examined broader by doing textual analysis approach."

"ABSTRAK
Danny Phantom 2004 - 2007 adalah sebuah serial animasi yang menceritakan tentang seorang remaja, Danny Fenton, yang mengalami kecelakaan yang menjadikannya manusia setengah hantu, dan menggunakan kekuatan hantunya untuk melawan hantu-hantu di kotanya bersama dengan dua sahabatnya, Sam Manson dan Tucker Foley. Pandangan analisis dalam penggambaran Sam Manson dapat lebih jauh mengeksplorasi tentang representasi perempuan mengenai pembentukan dan penolakan terhadap stereotip. Melalui analisis tekstual, kita dapat menemukan lebih banyak wawasan tentang bagaimana stereotip gender dilanggengkan di dalam kartun tersebut dan kemudian dibalikkan. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menunjukkan bagaimana Sam merepresentasikan pemberdayaan perempuan dengan penolakannya terhadap stereotip-stereotip yang diabadikan oleh karakter wanita lainnya di dalam kartun tersebut. Dengan sikap Sam yang kontras dibandingkan dengan karakter-karakter wanita lain dan membalikkan peran gender, Butch Hartman sebagai penulis berhasil menumbangkan stereotip dalam seri Danny Phantom.

ABSTRACT
Danny Phantom 2004 ndash; 2007 is an animated series about a teenager, Danny Fenton, who went through an accident that made him a half-ghost, and later used his ghost power to fight ghosts in his town along with his best friends, Sam Manson and Tucker Foley. Analytical view of the depiction of Sam Manson can further explore about female representation regarding forming and breaking stereotypes. Through textual analysis, we can find more insights about how stereotypes are perpetuated by the society within the show Danny Phantom and subverted. This paper aims to show how Sam represents women empowerment by breaking the stereotypes perpetuated by other female characters in the show. By Sam rsquo;s contrasting attitudes to other female characters and reversing gender roles, Butch Hartman as the author is successful in subverting stereotypes within the Danny Phantom series."

"Di dalam ilmu linguistik, teknik persuasi adalah satu dari beberapa kemampuan berkomunikasi. Saat ini sudah banyak penelitian yang telah meneliti tentang teknik persuasi. Dalam meneliti teknik persuasi, penelitian-penelitian tersebut menggunakan berbagai hal sebagai media untuk meneliti seperti pidato, film, dan percakapan. Artikel ini menggunakan film Fruitvale Station (2013) sebagai korpus karena karakter utamanya, Oscar Grant III, menggunakan banyak teknik persuasi saat berkomunikasi di dalam film tersebut. Artikel ini menganalisis teknik persuasi yang Oscar gunakan di setiap percakapannya dengan beberapa lawan bicara dari dua ras yang berbeda menggunakan pengkategorian teknik persuasi milik Barbara Johnstone (1989). Dari analisis yang dibuat, ditemukan jika ras dari lawan bicara Oscar tidak mempengaruhi pilihan Oscar dalam menggunakan teknik persuasi yang berbeda. Namun, Oscar memiliki pertimbangan lain dalam menggunakan teknik-teknik persuasi yang berbeda, yaitu situasi dari percakapan yang dia hadapi. Dari penemuan-penemuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan jika di setiap situasi yang berbeda terdapat satu teknik yang cenderung akan digunakan.

In researching the persuasive strategy, the studies use many things as the means to research such as speeches, films, and conversations. This article uses a film Fruitvale Station (2013) as the corpus because the main character, Oscar Grant III, uses many persuasive strategies in his conversations in the film. This article analyzes persuasive strategy that Oscar uses through several conversations between him and several interlocutors from two different races in the film by using Barbara Johnstone`s (1989) categorization of persuasion technique. From the analysis, it is found that the race of interlocutors does not affect the preferences of Oscar`s persuasive strategy. However, there is another consideration of his preferences which is the situation of the conversation. From those findings, it is concluded that each situation has its preferable strategy to be used."

"Strategi komunikasi dalam kampanye politik merupakan hal yang penting dilakukan oleh para tokoh politik terutama dalam meningkatkan pengenalan dirinya kepada para konstituen (pemilih). Adapun seperti Kegiatan kampanye politik yang dilakukan oleh para tokoh politik pun menggunakan bermacam – macam cara agar dapat menarik perhatian dari konstituen salah satunya menggunakan baliho. Menjelang pesta demokrasi di Indonesia terkait dengan pemilihan Presiden Indonesia 2024 dimana berbagai tokoh politik seperti Puan Maharani, Airlangga Hartarto, Muhaimin Iskandar, dan Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono mulai melakukan kampanye politik menggunakan media baliho dimana baliho adalah sebuah bentuk media dalam kampanye politik yang sifatnya besar, tidak perlu mengakses melalui perangkat digital, dan terpampang langsung di hadapan masyarakat. Penggunaan baliho yang sifatnya menarik konstituen dari berbagai kalangan diperlukan kalimat – kalimat menarik dan juga komposisi dari muatan pesan baik yang sifatnya implisit maupun eksplisit dalam baliho. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pesan – pesan baik secara verbal maupun non verbal eksplisit maupun implisit pada baliho empat kandidat tokoh politik Puan Maharani, Airlangga Hartarto, Muhaimin Iskandar, dan Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik analisa yaitu teknik analisis tekstual oleh Alan McKee. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa isi dari baliho tokoh politik calon kandidat pilpres 2024 yang mengandung unsur tertentu. Rekomendasi yang diharapkan dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan isi dari baliho tokoh politik menjelang pemilihan presiden 2024.

Communication strategy in political campaigning was an important thing for political figures to did, especially in increasing their self-knowledge to their constituents (voters). Political campaign activities carried out by political figures also used various ways to attract the attention of constituents, one of which was used billboards. Ahead of the democratic party in indonesia related to the 2024 Indonesian presidential election where various political figures such as Puan Maharani, Airlangga Hartarto, Muhaimin Iskandar, and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono began to carried out political campaigns used billboards media where billboards were a form of media in political campaigns that were large in nature, no needed to access online, and displayed directly in front of the public. The used of billboards that attract constituents from various circles requires interesting sentences and also the composition of the message content, both implicit and explicit in billboards. The purpose of the studied was to analyze the messages, both verbal and non-verbal, explicit and implicit, on the billboards of four political leaders, Puan Maharani, Airlangga Hartarto, Muhaimin Iskandar, and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono. As well as the methodology of this researched used qualitative researched methods used analytical techniques, namely textual analysis techniques by Alan McKee. The results of this studied showed that the contents of the billboards of political figures as candidates for the 2024 presidential election contain certain elements. The recommendations expected in this studied aimed to describe the content of political figures billboards towards The 2024 Presidential Election"

"Perempuan di film Amerika masih mengalami representasi yang kurang tepat. Isu ini terdapat pada film Catch Me If You Can 2002 yang terkandung konsep objektifikasi perepuan di dalamnya. Dengan menganalisis beberapa adegan yang terdapat karakter perempuan dan terdapat konsep objektifikasi di dalamnya, dan memakai teori ldquo;Male gaze rdquo; Laura Mulvey dan teori penggambaran perempuan di media massa oleh Gaye Tuchman, artikel ini bertujuan untuk membahas bentuk dari objektifikasi perempuan dan posisi mereka yang ditampilkan di film ini. Artikel ini mengungkapkan bahwa mise-en-scene dari beberapa adegan di film ini dan karakterisasi dari karakter perempuan tertentu di film ini mengindikasikan penggambaran perempuan sebagai objek yang tidak berdaya.

Women in American film are still very much underrepresented. This includes in Catch Me If You Can 2002 movie that features a concept of women objectification. Through analyzing particular scenes that involve the and affirms the objectification concept, and using Laura Mulvey rsquo;s framework of ldquo;male gaze rdquo; and Gaye Tuchman rsquo;s ldquo;women depiction by mass media, rdquo; this article aims to examine the form of women objectification and their position portrayed in this movie. This article reveals that the mise-en-scene of selected scenes and the characterization of particular female characters in the movie indicate the portrayal of women as powerless objects.
