Abstrak :
Penelitian ini membahas mengenai faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi tingkat pengungkapan risiko (risk disclosure) dan pengaruh dari tingkat risk disclosure terhadap nilai perusahaan (Market to Book Ratio) pada perusahaan asuransi yang terdaftar di bursa efek negara anggota ASEAN-6 pada periode tahun 2014-2018. Sampel yang digunakan mencakup 180 hasil observasi firm-year yang terdiri dari 36 perusahaan selama 5 tahun. Pengujian hipotesis dalam menentukan determinan tingkat pengungkapan risiko dan pengaruh tingkat pengungkapan tisiko terhadap nilai perusahaan dilakukan melalui regresi data panel fixed effect. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan semakin besar tingkat profitabilitas (profitability) dan tingkat hutang (leverage) maka semakin kecil tingkat risk disclosure yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan. Sedangkan semakin besar tingkat Pendapatan Domestik Bruto (Gross Domestic Product) suatu negara maka semakin besar tingkat risk disclosure yang dilakukan perusahaan. Hasil penelitian juga menemukan bahwa semakin besar tingkat risk disclosure maka akan semakin kecil nilai perusahaan asuransi di ASEAN-6. ......This study discusses the factors that influence the level of risk disclosure and the effect of the level of risk disclosure on the value of the company (Market to Book Ratio) on insurance companies listed on the stock exchanges of ASEAN-6 member countries in 2014-2018 . The sample used included 180 firm-year observations consisting of 36 companies over 5 years period. Hypothesis testing in determining the determinant of the level of risk disclosure and the effect of the level of risk disclosure on firm value is done through fixed effect panel data regression. The results showed the greater the level of profitability and the level of debt (leverage), the smaller the level of risk disclosure made by the company. Whereas the greater the level of Gross Domestic Product of a country, the greater the level of risk disclosure by the company. The results also found that the greater the level of risk disclosure, the smaller the value of insurance companies in ASEAN-6.
