Abstrak :
OBJECTIVE: To determine if Intravesical prostatic protrusion (IPP), total prostate volume, transition zone volume and transition zone index is correlated with the severity of clinical benign prostatic hyperplasia. PATIENTS AND METHODS: From January to May 2005, 56 patients with symptom of BPH were enrolled in this study. All patients were requested to undergo urofiowmetry, postvoid residual urine measurement and international Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS). TRUS was used to calculate the total prostate volume, transition zone (ZT) volume and the transition zone index (TZ index = TZ volume/total prostate volume). And IPP was measured by transabdominal ultrasonography. RESULT: There were a significant correlation between IPSS and post void residual with total prostate volume, transition zone, transition zone index and intravesical prostatic protrusion. Only transition zone and transition zone index were significant correlation with Q max. Strongest correlation in IPSS and postvoid residual was transition zone (ZT) volume (r = 0.480 and r = 0.621 ) in Q max was transition zone index (r = 0.508). CONCLUSION : From this study there were correlation between intravesical prostatic protrusion, prostate volume, transition zone volume and transition zone index however the correlation is weak.

Abstrak :
Jalan Tol merupakan salah satu investasi infrastuktur transportasi yang memiliki peranan sebagai suatu generator suatu pertumbuhan ekonomi di Indonesia khususnya ibu kota. Dengan intensitas yang tinggi dalam menggunakan jalan tol sebagai aksesibilitas dalam mobilisasi sehingga menimbulkan sebuah masalah. Dimana kondisi jalan tol yang memerlukan kegiatan maintenance pada ruas-ruas jalan untuk dapat mempertahankan kualitas dengan salah satunya melalui peraturan. Tetapi hal tersebut tidaklah cukup, maka diperlukan kegitan perawatan atau maintenance rutin pada ruas-ruas jalan dalam bentuk fisik. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan manajemen lalu lintas pada lokasi zona kerja tersebut yang tidak hanya untuk keselamatan pengguna jalan baik pengendara maupun pekerjanya. Tetapi, manajemen ini juga diperlukan untuk dapat mempertahankan kinerja jalan. Sehingga dilakukan penelitian mengenai dampak atau pengaruh yang terjadi pada tingkat pelayanan kondisi lalu lintas dari adanya zona pembangunan. Hal tersebut berdampak pada terjadinya penyempitan jalan dengan pengurangan lajur pada area jalan bebas hambatan, sehingga dibuatnya zona transisi (taper). Penulis melakukan analisis dengan menggunakan permodelan Vissim untuk megetahui hubungan zona transisi dan pengaruhnya terhadap kondisi lalu lintas. Sehingga didapatkan hasil permodelan yang menunjuka adanya pengaruh perubahan Panjang zona transisi (taper) terhadap kinerja jalan. Pengaruh yang terjadi adalah dimana Ketika Panjang taper semaikan besar maka kinerja jalan atau tingkat pelayanannya semakin baik dengan persamaan yang diapat adalah y=0,8458-0,0005x. Dan dari hubungan tersebut didapatkan Panjang minimal sebesar 211,6 m agar kinerja jalan menghasilkan nilai minimal LOS C. Hal ini berlaku untuk kondisi penyempitan lajur dari 3 menjadi 1 saat lokasi zona kerja terjadi pada lajur 1 dan 2 yaitu lajur cepat dan lajur mendahului. ......Toll Road is one of the investment in transportation infrastructure which has a role as a generator of economic growth in Indonesia, specifically the capital city. With high intensity in using the toll road as accessibility in mobilization, it causes problems. Where is the condition of toll roads that require maintenance activities on road sections to be able to maintain quality with one of them through regulations. But this is needed enough, so necessary maintenance or routine maintenance on road segments in physical form. Therefore, traffic management is needed at the location of the work zone, which is not only for the safety of road users, both motorists and workers. However, this management also needs to maintain road continuity. Related research conducted on the situation that occurs at the level of traffic government of the development zone. This has an impact on the displacement of the narrowing of the road with freelane in the freeway area, so that a transition zone (taper) is made. The author analyzes using Vissim modeling to determine the relationship of the transition zone and its effect on traffic conditions. Because the results obtained by modeling show the effect of changes in the length of the transition zone (taper) on road performance. The effect that occurs when the length of the taper increases is greater, the increase in the road or the level of service is getting better with the equation obtained is y = 0.8458-0.0005x. And from that number obtained a minimum length of 211,5 m so that road performance produces a minimum value of LOS C. This applies to the narrowing condition of the lane from 3 to 1 when the work zone location occurs in lanes 1 and 2, namely fast lane and precede lane.

This book focuses on the utilisation of construction waste material as coarse aggregate in making concrete. It discusses in detail the behaviour of recycled aggregate under impact load along with other structural applications, and explains the various quality-improvement techniques for recycled aggregate and recycled aggregate concrete (RAC). The first chapter describes the importance of recycling construction and demolition waste and the status quo of global construction and demolition waste recycling. The second chapter examines the recycled aggregate production methodology. Subsequent chapters address the physical and mechanical characteristics and different research findings, as well as the engineering properties of recycled aggregate concrete. Further, the interrelationships among the mechanical properties of recycled aggregate concrete are discussed. The book also explores long-term properties like shrinkage and creep, durability properties, and microstructural characterisation. It will serve as a valuable resource for researchers and professionals alike.

Full fledged use of construction & demolition (C&D) waste in the construction industry is inevitable. Concrete technologists across the world are engaged to scale its properties and potential uses since last 65 years. The general consensus for the mechanical property is to some extent is acceptable however the workability and durability properties are still under a scanner and needs to be improved. The present paper reports the optimistic results of series of experimental work carried out using high range replacement of normal aggregates (NA) with recycled aggregates (RA) (50-80%) from C&D waste for producing sustainable and durable concrete (water cement ratio 0.4) using C&D waste. Multiple strategies were used in research to enhance workability and durability properties of concrete produced by using C&D waste. Firstly the RA was used as an internal curing (IC) agent to enhance the micro structure and Interfacial Transition Zone (ITZ) of concrete. Secondly by apparently lowering the water cement ratio by using additional low-lime fly ash similar to class F of ASTM C 618 mainly to improve workability, packing of concrete, later age strength and durability. The results show that water diffusion in concrete with RA being used as an IC agent was delayed leading to decrease in shrinkage and micro cracks development; also increase the hydration, compressive strength and improvement of durability indexes such carbonation depth and electrical resistivity is seen. The Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) result illustrated the considerable improvement in the microstructure. By adopting these strategies which are economical & sustainable, mixtures show additional benefits that should permit their broader application.
