Karya Ilmiah akhir KIA merupakan laporan akhir praktik residensi keperawatan medikal bedah dengan mengelola kasus kanker menggunakan pendekatan teori peaceful end of life, penerapan evidence based nursing inhalasi aromaterapi jahe untuk mengurangi mual muntah dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien kanker payudara yang menjalani kemoterapi dan melakukan proyek inovasi kelompok tentang program edukasi dengan metode AVA Audio Visual Aids dalam manajemen efek kemoterapi dirumah. Konsep teori peaceful end of life menjadi panduan bagi perawat untuk memberikan asuhan keperawatan pada pasien kanker dengan paliatif care. Inhalasi aromaterapi jahe dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu terapi nonfarmakologi untuk mengurangi mual muntah dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien kanker payudara yang menjalani kemoterapi yang mudah, aman dan tidak memerlukan keterampilan khusus untuk melakukannya. Program edukasi metode AVA dengan media video dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan pasien dan keluarga dalam mengatasi efek kemoterapi dirumah serta mempermudah perawat dalam memberikan edukasi pada pasien kanker yang menjalani kemoterapi.

The final paper is the last report of residency medical surgical nursing practice consisting of the management of the cancer with used peaceful end of life theory approach, application of evidance based nursing inhaled ginger aromatherapy to reduce nausea and vomiting and health related quality of life in breast cancer patients due to chemotherapy and undertaking a group innovation project on education program with AVA audio visual aids methods in management of chemotherapy effect at home. The concept of peaceful end of life theory provides a guide for nurses to provide nursing care to cancer patients with palliative care. Inhaled ginger aromatherapy can be used as one of the nonpharmacological therapies to reduce nausea and vomiting and improve the quality of life of breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy it is easy, safe and requires no special skills to do so. Education program of AVA methods with video media can improve the knowledge of patients and families in overcoming the effect of chemotherapy at home and facilitate the nurses in providing education to cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
