"Summary:
"As an architect, you want to integrate the best building envelope construction methods, materials science, and structural principles in your work, but you need a resource to help you. With more than seventy significant case studies located in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia from prehistory to the present, this book illuminates the theory and techniques of assembling exteriors. Six chapters organized by wall types, from hand-set monolithic walls to digitally fabricated curtain walls, each have a material focus section to help you understand their intrinsic properties so that you can decide which will best keep the weather out of your building. Case studies include: Great Wall, China Israeli Supreme Court Building, Jerusalem, Ram Karmi and Ada Karmi-Melamed Fďřation Nationale du Bt́iments, Paris, Jean Prouv ̌Institut du Monde Arabe, Paris, Jean Nouvel Morgan Library, New York City, Renzo Piano Katsura Imperial Villa, Kyoto Sainsbury Center for Visual Arts, Norwich, UK, Sir Norman Foster""

The branch block method is a retaining wall developed in Japan and has been applied since 2003, in Indonesia the branch block method was introduced in 2017 with the name Turap Progressive (TUPRO). The locus of this study was in one of the residential areas in Bogor, which is situated in the middle of the hills. Cut and fill at the steep side of the landfill is necessary to handle the potential landslides. This study aims to get an overview of landslide prevention using the branch block method. This study uses a descriptive approach, the interpretation of the acquired data is documented in this report, which includes aspects of engineering ethics, professionalism, occupational health and safety, and environmental protection. Implementing the branch block construction project serves as a solution to prevent landslides on high embankments with steep slopes. In conclusion, the branch block method can be an alternative solution for addressing Indonesia's landslide hazards.

"This technical guide offers an extensive overview of the use of vertical vegetation in high-rise buildings, an in-depth analysis of green walls, definitions and typology, including standards, policies and incentives. It features comprehensive case studies, along with architectural theories of the public and private benefits of green walls. The book delves into architect-design considerations and limitations, the effects of green walls on energy efficiencies and includes recommendations and future research.--website"

"ABSTRACT
The objective of the present study is to investigate the influence of external magnetic field on unsteady incompressible flow of water based nanofluid through a successively expanding or contracting channel with porous walls. the basic governing equations with boundary conditions are non-dimensionalized using appropriate transformation to ordinary differential equations, which are then solved using power series with the help of Hermite-Padè approximation method. the instability of the flow is shown using bifurcation graph and the dominating singularity behavior numerically. the regular effects of the different governing physical parameters specifically Hartmann number, volume friction of nanoparticles, non-dimensional shear stress and permeation Reynolds number on velocity profiles are depicted graphically."

The vertical greening system can be part of a sustainable strategy for building rehabilitation, however, several problems related to the vertical greening system arise because the system is the application of new green building technologies, such as lack of technical data, availability of designers, experience and knowledge. This condition requires the addition of new information to improve the process of installing and maintaining the vertical greening system structure. Several countries have adopted the concept of a vertical greening system, such as Australia, the UK, and Singapore. This study is intended to determine the recommended methods of implementing and maintaining vertical greening systems for building walls in Indonesia. The research strategy was archival analysis and surveys with interviews and questionnaires, which were then analyzed descriptively and statistically. The results of the study show that there are differences in implementation in Australia, England, and Singapore due to 2 Universitas Indonesia differences in existing guidelines. While the vertical greening system in Indonesia mostly applies continuous green wall design with 5 types of maintenance, namely construction, routine, cyclical, reactive and preventive, and renovation maintenance. Based on the results of the questionnaire, the method of implementing and maintaining vertical greening systems in the three countries can also be recommended entirely to be applied to building walls in Indonesia."
