Abstrak :
Tinjauan Dari Aspek Teknologi. Kegiatan, industri yang merupakan pendukung utama pembangunan, serngkali mengeluarkan berbagai jenis limbah, baik limbah cair, padat maupun gas. Limbah industri umumnya mengandung berbagai jenis limbah, termasuk limbah bahan berbabaya, sehingga berpotensi besar dalam pencemaran lingkungan. Berbagai upaya telah dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah pencemaran akibat limbah industri, namun seringkali upaya tersebut menimbulkan masalah baru yang berupa pemindahan pencemar antar media. Jurusan Teknik Gas dan Petrokimia Fakultas Teknik Universitas Indonesia telah melakukan berbagai penelitian tentang penanganan limbah industri, antara lain yang berkaitan dengan limbah industri yang mengandung amonia dan fenol beserta turunannya. Beberapa penelitian yang dilakukan memanfaatkan zeolit alam yang terdapat melimpah di bumi Indonesia, antara lain yang merupakan Proyek Riset Unggulan Terpadu (RUT) IV, V, VI. Dengan tujuan mendapatkan hasil yang maksimal dan berdaya guna, Fakultas Tehnik Universitas Indonesia akan menyelenggarakan Seminar Ilmiah Sehari dengan topik "Masatah dan Penanganan Limbah Industri : Tinjauan dari Aspek Teknologi. Seminar tersebut merupakan hasil penelitian dari Kelompok Peneliti "Pengendalian Pencemaran dari Industri" dan Kelompok Peneliti "Perancangan Reaktor Kimia." yang ada di Jurusan Teknik Gas dan Petrokimia, FTUI. Seminar tersebut diharapkan merupakan forum pertukaran informasi antara dunia pendidikan, lembaga penelitian, dunia industri, serta Pengelola lingkungan.
