Abstrak :
The text provides the knowledge needed to deal with a quantitative approach, the multiple aspects related to the flow of groundwater resources (groundwater) and propagation and remediation of contaminants in water systems. Describes the basic properties that define the capacity of storage, transport and release water in aquifers, and then, describes the methods for the determination of these parameters with the execution and interpretation of evidence of groundwater, well water and of laboratory. From the physical-chemical and toxicological classification of contaminants are then analyzed the propagation mechanisms and discusses the analytical solutions of the mass transport in porous media. The last part of the text is devoted to the characterization and remediation of contaminated aquifers.
