US$ dibandingkan skenario 1 ......Diesel Power Plants (PLTD) have a fast starting time and have high efficiency, but the operational costs and fuel for diesel generators are very high. HOMER software is used in this study to determine which hybrid power system is the most optimal. The parameters used are economic values, namely net present costs (NPC) and cost of energy (COE) and are calculated on the use and production of energy. The scenario used is scenario 1, the system comes from a generator operating at PLTD Nusa Penida, while scenario 2 is PLTD, solar panels, wind turbines and Flywheel Energy storage (FESS). The Flywheel Energy Storage System is used to increase the penetration of renewable energy into the power grid and drive the demand for greater capacity in the energy storage area. Flywheel technology is used in several energy storage applications in the storage of kinetic energy in rotating inertia. FESS technology has a high efficiency of 90-95%. The strong FESS characteristics are suitable for applications that require fast response and high daily cycles as well as high power. Currently, the growing demand for FESS technology has good potential when the cost of producing Li-ion batteries and other chemical battery technologies continues to decrease because batteries have a lower lifetime and have environmental issues. The result of this research is that the hybrid system is able to generate power of 11,147,011 kWh/year and has a percentage of generating 32% of renewable electrical energy sources of the total energy produced. From the economic value, the most optimal is scenario 2 with a value of COE 6.93 Cent US$ per kWh and an NPC of 37.7 Mill US$ compared to scenario 1.

ABSTRACT
A comprehensive introduction to turbomachines and their applications With up-to-date coverage of all types of turbomachinery for students and practitioners, Fundamentals of Turbomachinery covers machines from gas, steam, wind, and hydraulic turbines to simple pumps, fans, blowers, and compressors used throughout industry. After reviewing the history of turbomachinery and the fluid mechanical principles involved in their design and operation, the book focuses on the application and selection of machines for various uses, teaching basic theory as well as how to select the right machine for a specific use. With a practical emphasis on engineering applications of turbomachines, this book discusses the full range of both turbines and pumping devices. For each type, the author explains: * Basic principles * Preliminary design procedure * Ideal performance characteristics * Actual performance curves published by the manufacturers * Application and appropriate selection of the machine Throughout, worked sample problems illustrate the principles discussed and end-of-chapter problems, employing both SI and the English system of units, provide practice to help solidify the reader's grasp of the material.

This book is aimed at researchers, industry professionals and students interested in the broad ranges of disciplines related to condition monitoring of machinery working in non-stationary conditions. Each chapter, accepted after a rigorous peer-review process, reports on a selected, original piece of work presented and discussed at the International Conference on Condition Monitoring of Machinery in Non-stationary Operations, CMMNO 2018, held on June 20-22, 2018, in Santander, Spain. The book describes both theoretical developments and a number of industrial case studies, which cover different topics, such as: noise and vibrations in machinery, conditioning monitoring in non-stationary operations, vibro-acoustic diagnosis of machinery, signal processing, application of pattern recognition and data mining, monitoring and diagnostic systems, faults detection, dynamics of structures and machinery, and mechatronic machinery diagnostics.

The book presents novel Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) techniques to compute offshore wind and tidal applications. The papers in this volume are based on a mini-symposium held at ECCOMAS 2018. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) techniques are regarded as the main design tool to explore the new engineering challenges presented by offshore wind and tidal turbines for energy generation. The difficulty and costs of undertaking experimental tests in offshore environments have increased the interest in CFD which is used to design appropriate turbines and blades, understand fluid flow physical phenomena associated with offshore environments, predict power production or characterise offshore environments amongst other topics.

This book presents cutting-edge work on the energy efficiency and environmental sustainability of buildings, examining EU policies, regulations and technologies for complex systems such as passive buildings, sustainable buildings and, as part of the Energy Performance of Building Directive (EPBD), nearly Zero Energy Buildings (nZEB) requirements. It explores a wide range of topics, including indoor environment requirements, building physics, in-situ experiments to determine the thermal properties of buildings, nZEB requirements, building service technology, and methods of evaluating energy efficiency and environmental impacts. It also provides an overview of the best available technologies for nZEB, including those for the rational use of energy, utilization of renewable energy sources, EPBD systems and calculation methods. This book is a valuable resource for students, researchers and practitioners of urban planning, and architecture, civil and mechanical engineering.
