"Pneumonia merupakan salah satu masalah yang sering terjadi pada anak terutama yang berusia di bawah 5 tahun. Masalah pada bersihan jalan napas menjadi salah satu hal penting yang perlu ditangani pada anak yang mengalami pneumonia. Karya ilmiah ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran asuhan keperawatan pada anak dengan pneumonia. Masalah keperawatan yang ditegakkan meliputi bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif, ketidakseimbangan nutrisi: kurang dari kebutuhan tubuh, dan kerusakan integritas kulit. Asuhan keperawatan yang diberikan berfokus pada intervensi manajemen jalan napas melalui terapi inhalasi menggunakan bronkodilator. Karya ilmiah ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan pertimbangan bagi pelayanan kesehatan untuk memberikan intervensi keperawatan secara efektif terutama terkait manajemen jalan napas pada anak.
Pneumonia is one of health problems that rapidly happened to children, particularly under 5 years old children. The malfunction of airway clearance become one of important thing that should be treated to children with pneumonia. This scientific work aims to describe nursing care to children with pneumonia. Nursing problem that enforced are ineffective airway clearance, imbalanced nutrition: less than body requirements, and impaired skin integrity. Nursing care given focuses on airway management intervention through inhalation therapy using bronchodilator. This scientific work are expected to be a consideration to health services for giving nursing intervention effectively, especially on children rsquo;s airway management."

"Gejala asma pada anak membuktikan ketidaknyamanan yang dirasakan anak, sehingga terapi musik merupakan sebuah pendekatan pengobatan yang dapat digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhanan kenyamanan anak dengan asma yang mendapatkan terapi inhalasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak terapi musik terhadap respon fisiologis tubuh pada anak usia pra sekolah dan usia sekolah pengidap asma yang mendapatkan terapi inhalasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi experiment jenis non equivalent control group, pre test- post test design yang melibatkan 44 responden anak usia pra sekolah dan usia sekolah yang terbagi kedalam kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna selisih rerata saturasi oksigen, frekuensi denyut jantung dan frekuensi pernapasan sebelum dan setelah intervensi pada kelompok kontrol dan intervensi p.
Symptoms of asthma in children prove the inconvenience felt by children, so music therapy is a treatment approach that can be used to meet the needs of child comfort with asthma who get inhalation therapy. This study aims to determine the impact of music therapy on the physiological response of the body in pre school age children and school age of asthma who get inhalation therapy. This research uses quasi experimental design of non equivalent control group type, pre test post test design involving 44 respondents of pre school age and school age consisting of intervention group and control group. "Penelitian ini membahas aktivitas spesifik katalase dalam mencegah stres oksidatif pada jaringan yang disebabkan oleh kondisi hipoksia hipobarik. Hipoksia hipobarik akut berulang sering dialami oleh para penerbang, terutama ketika harus menjalani prosedur Hypobaric Chamber training yang rutin diadakan dua tahun sekali. Salah satu jaringan yang rentan terhadap stres oksidatif akibat hipoksia adalah jaringan ginjal. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan aktivitas spesifik katalase jaringan ginjal tikus percobaan yang diinduksi hipoksia hipobarik akut yang berulang.
Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah desain eksperimental. Sampel jaringan ginjal diambil dari total 25 ekor tikus jantan galur Wistar yang dikelompokkan menjadi empat kelompok perlakuan dengan perbedaan frekuensi terhadap perlakuan prosedur Hypobaric chamber dan satu kelompok kontrol. Metode untuk mengukur aktivitas spesifik katalase menggunakan metode Mates et al. (1999) yang telah dimodifikasi oleh Departemen Biokimia dan Biologi Molekuler Fakultas kedokteran Universitas Indonesia.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan bermakna aktivitas spesifik katalase semua kelompok perlakuan dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol (p<0.05). Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat perubahan berupa peningkatan yang signifikan aktivitas spesifik katalase di jaringan ginjal tikus percobaan yang diinduksi hipoksia hipobarik akut secara berulang dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol.
This research determines about specific activity of catalase in preventing hypoxiainduced oxidative stress. Besides, one of the most common hypoxia condition which occurs in aviators is hypobaric hypoxia. Hypobaric chamber training which has been a fundamental component of aviation training could induce acute intermittent hypobaric hypoxia. Kidney was known as highly-demand organ of oxygen which makes its susceptible to oxidative injury. This research aims to determine changes in specific activity of catalase in rat?s kidney exposed to acute intermittent hypobaric hypoxia.The research design used was experimental design. Twenty five male Wistar rats were divided into five groups of five animals each. One control group of rats were kept under normobaric oxygen atmosphere. Four experimental group were exposed to acute hypobaric hypoxia in a hypobaric chamber for some intermittent period of time. Specific activity of catalase was determined using Modified Mates method.The result shows that all experimental groups are significantly different in comparison with control group. This research concludes that there are significant increases in specific activity of catalase in all experimental groups compared to control group."

"Inadequate humidification of inspired gases can cause a variety of serious problems, and humidification has accordingly become an important aspect of modern intensive care medicine. This book is designed to serve as a practical guide for clinicians, providing information on the theoretical background of humidification, the equipment, and its optimal use. The book starts by examining the physiological basis of humidification. Current devices are then discussed, with careful attention to factors influencing their performance and methods to evaluate their effectiveness. The two scenarios of mechanical and non-mechanical ventilation are considered, and the issue of ventilator-associated pneumonia is addressed in detail. Further chapters focus on such topics as humidification following tracheostomy, humidification of the artificial airway during secretion management, measurement of inspired gas temperature in the ventilated neonate, and humidification in the home care setting."
