Abstrak :
Meningkatnya popularitas karya-karya budaya populer yang mengangkat tema Zaman Sengoku di kalangan anak muda Jepang, atau yang dikenal dengan Sengoku Boom, telah menciptakan kecenderungan baru dalam bidang pariwisata. Ueda merupakan kota bersejarah tempat lahirnya Klan Sanada, salah satu keluarga ternama di Zaman Sengoku yang juga sering muncul sebagai tokoh dalam karya- karya budaya populer. Skripsi ini membahas mengenai bentuk-bentuk pemanfaatan sumberdaya budaya yang dilakukan Ueda untuk mendapatkan keuntungan ekonomi melalui contents tourism. Penelitian ini merupakan kajian pustaka dengan metode deskriptif analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk-bentuk pemanfaatan sumberdaya budaya di bidang ekonomi melalui kegiatan contents tourism di Ueda adalah dengan menciptakan fasilitas-fasilitas penunjang dan mengkreasikan produk wisata sesuai dengan permintaan wisatawan. ......The increasing popularity of the works of popular culture with the theme of the Sengoku Period in Japan among young people, also known as the Sengoku Boom, has created a new trend in the field of tourism. Ueda is the historic town and the birhtplace of Sanada clan, one of the leading families in the Sengoku Period who also frequently appears as a character in the works of popular culture. This script discusses the forms of cultural resource utilization which is done by Ueda for economic benefit through contents tourism. This research is a literature study with descriptive-analysis method. The results showed that the forms of cultural resource utilization in the economic field through contents tourism in Ueda was done by creating supporting facilities and creation of tourism products according to the demand of tourists.

Skripsi ini membahas pemanfaatan yuru-kyara Hikonyan sebagai media promosi wisata kota Hikone, Jepang. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai pemanfaatan yuru-kyara Hikonyan dalam memajukan pariwisata kota Hikone dan peningkatan pada sektor ekonomi kota Hikone. Makna semiotik yang dikandung oleh yuru-kyara Hikonyan juga akan di analisis. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan pemanfaatan yuru-kyara Hikonyan berdampak positif kepada kemajuan pariwisata dan ekonomi kota Hikone. Hal ini karena makna semiotik yang dikandung yuru-kyara Hikonyan menyampaikan informasi mengenai kota Hikone kepada masyarakat Jepang. ......The focus of this study is the utilization of yuru-kyara Hikonyan as Media Promotion of Hikone City’s Tourism, Japan. The purpose of this study is to understand the utization of yuru-kyara Hikonyan for media tourism campaign in increasing the tourism and economy of Hikone city, also to understand the semiotic meaning in Yuru-kyara Hikonyan design that informed the tourist about information of Hikone city. This research is qualitative descriptive interpretive. The data were collected by means of deep researcher interpretation. The result of this study show that the utilization of yuru-kyara Hikonyan help the progress to increasing the tourism in Hikone city.

Abstrak :
Gempa Bumi Besar Jepang Timur (bencana 3/11) menyebabkan kerusakan, namun juga memunculkan potensi untuk memanfaatkan lokasi yang terpengaruh bencana untuk pariwisata melalui dark tourism. Pro dan kontra muncul terutama pada keberadaan kapal Kyotokumaru 18 yang terbawa ke daratan kota Kesennuma pasca bencana. Penelitian ini membahas bagaimana pengunjung dan juga masyarakat setempat kota Kesennuma memaknai dark tourism di kota tersebut. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa meskipun keberadaan kapal sebagai objek dark tourism di Kesennuma dapat menjadi mediator kematian bagi pengunjung dan masyarakat, namun hal tersebut tidak terjadi setelah penolakan dari masyarakat membuatnya harus dihancurkan. ......Great East Japan Earthquake (3/11 disaster) brings destruction, but also bring a potential to harness the location affected by disaster for tourism through dark tourism. There are pro and contra especially in the existence of Kyotokumaru 18, a ship stranded in the city of Kesennuma because of the disaster. This research discusses how visitor and the local interpret dark tourism in Kesennuma city. This research finds that although Kyotokumaru 18 existence can be a mediator of mortality for both the visitor and locals, the rejection from locals that resulted in the scrapping of the ship shows that it didn't happen.

Jepang sebagai negara industri maju mulai melirik potensi sektor pariwisatanya sebagai salah satu upaya revitalisasi perekonomiannya yang sempat mengalami kemunduran. Skripsi ini membahas mengenai program Visit Japan Campaign (VJC) yang diluncurkan oleh pemerintah Jepang pada tahun 2003 di bawah naungan Japan Tourism Agency (JTA) dan Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) berikut pengaruhnya terhadap revitalisasi ekonomi Jepang. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sektor pariwisata yang dipromosikan lewat program tersebut berperan penting dalam revitalisasi ekonomi Jepang sekaligus pemerataan pembangunan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat Jepang.

Skripsi ini membahas peranan Sakamoto Ryūichi terhadap munculnya genre baru dan perkembangan musik populer Jepang. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran Ryuichi Sakamoto berpengaruh terhadap munculnya genre techno-pop di Jepang dan perkembangan musik jenis electronic dan semacamnya pada era selanjutnya. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari banyaknya artis-artis baru yang mengusung genre techno dan festival musik dengan genre serupa, serta tempat-tempat seperti klub yang menyediakan instrumen elektronik seperti synthesizer bagi para penggemar musik techno.
The study focuses on the role of Sakamoto Ryūichi for the born of new music genre and the development of popular music in Japan. This study is categorized as qualitative study with a description method. Result of the study reveals that Sakamoto Ryūichi has played a main role on the new music genre of techno-pop in Japan and the development of the other electronic-music for the following era. It can be seen from many artists who chose this new techno genre and many festival music were conducted with similar genre. Then it is followed by many music clubs which provide electronic instrument such as synthesizer to accommodate the need of techno-music lovers.

Pemanfaatan kebudayaan untuk parieisata memicu terjadinya komerseialisasi budaya yang dianggap dapat mengubah esensi kebudayaan itu sendiri. Skripsi ini membahas praktik komersial yang dilakukan oleh inddustri pariwisata melalui Kyoto Gion Matsuri, festival budaya Jepangyang telah memiliki nilai sebagai atraksi wisata. Penelitian ini merupakan kajian pustaka dengan metode deskriptif analitis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa industri pariwisata, berupa barang dan jasa, menggunakan Kyoto Gion Matsuri sebagai sarana praktik komersial karena potensi komersialnya. Esensi budaya Kyoto Gion Matsuri itu sendiri tidak banyak mengalami perubahan. ......Utilization of culture to attract tourism has triggered cultural commercialization, which is believed to change the meaning of the culture itself. This script discussed about tourism industry's commercial practice through Kyoto Gion Matsuri, a Japanese Cultural Festival which recently has gained tourism value. This research was a literature study whit descriptive-analysis method. The result showed that tourism industry (ies) , such as goods and services, utilized Kyoto Gion Matsuri as a mean of commercial practice for its commercial potency. Cultural essentiality of Kyoto Gion Matsuri itself does not undergo many change.

Skripsi ini membahas tentang peranan kereta api bawah tanah Tokyo Metro sebagai sarana transportasi wisata kota Tokyo. Kereta api bawah tanah merupakan sarana transportasi yang dipilih oleh masyarakat Tokyo dan wisatawan yang datang ke Tokyo untuk menuju suatu lokasi. Tokyo Metro sebagai perusahaan yang menangani sebagian besar jalur kereta api bawah tanah menyediakan berbagai sarana dan prasarana yang diperlukan oleh para pengguna kereta api termasuk wisatawan agar perjalanan mereka dapat berjalan dengan lancar. Skripsi ini membahas peranan kereta api bawah tanah Tokyo Metro dalam mendukung pariwisata kota Tokyo. Sembilan jalur Tokyo Metro dan lokasi-lokasi wisata yang dilaluinya akan menjadi fokus penelitian ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kereta api bawah tanah Tokyo Metro berperan besar dalam mendukung pariwisata kota Tokyo. ......The focus of this study is the role of Tokyo Metro subways for transportation of Tokyo city tourism. Subways are the most chosen transportation by the people of Tokyo and tourist who come to Tokyo to get to a location. Tokyo Metro as a company that handles most of the underground railway lines provides a range of facilities and infrastructure needed by the passengers including tourists so that they travel can run smoothly. Nine lines of Tokyo Metro and tourist sites in its path will be the focus of this research. The results of this study indicate that the subways of Tokyo Metro plays a major role in supporting the city tourism of Tokyo.

Bali merupakan salah satu destinasi pariwisata favorit wisatawan mancanegara, khususnya wisatawan Jepang. Skripsi ini membahas dua faktor yang membuat wisatawan Jepang datang ke Bali. Kedua faktor tersebut adalah adanya perasaan nostalgia yang ditimbulkan oleh objek wisata di Bali dan adanya informasi yang cukup lengkap dan menarik mengenai pariwisata Bali bagi wisatawan Jepang. Selain dua faktor yang membuat wisatawan Jepang datang ke Bali, skripsi ini juga membahas karakteristik berwisata dari wisatawan Jepang, baik karakteristik berwisata ke luar negeri secara umum maupun karakteristik saat berwisata ke Bali. Penelitian ini merupakan kajian kepustakaan dengan metode deskriptif analisis. ......Bali is one of the favourite tourist destinations for foreign tourists, especially Japanese tourists. This thesis discusses two factors that make Japanese tourists coming to Bali. The factors are a sense of nostalgia for Japanese tourist which generated by the places of interest in Bali and the availability of information about Bali tourism. In addition to the two factors that make Japanese tourists coming to Bali, this paper also discusses the travelling characteristics of Japanese tourists, both characteristics of travelling abroad in general and the characteristics when traveling to Bali. This study is a review of the literature with descriptive-analysis methods.

Anime Lucky Star telah mendorong penontonnya untuk melakukan aktivitas pariwisata ke Washimiya, tempat yang menjadi latar atau setting dari anime tersebut. Aktivitas tersebut dikenal dengan istilah anime seichi junrei. Skripsi ini membahas proses pengambilan keputusan berwisata dalam anime seichi junrei tersebut. Menurut Foster, terdapat empat kelompok determinan yang menentukan keputusan akhir dari seorang calon wisatawan, yaitu determinan sosio-ekonomi, karakteristik daerah tujuan wisata, pengaruh promosi, dan variabel lainnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi wisatawan melakukan anime seichi junrei adalah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan aktualisasi diri, yaitu idealisme untuk memahami Lucky Star lebih dalam. Masyarakat setempat pada daerah tujuan anime seichi junrei dapat memperbesar motivasi wisatawan dengan membuat event yang berhubungan dengan Lucky Star. ......Lucky Star made its audience to form tourism activities to Washimiya. Those activities are known as anime pilgrimage. The focus of this research is to analyze the travel decision process on Lucky Star pilgrimage. Foster revealed that there are four groups of factors that are involved in the decision process. Those are socio-economic determinants, characteristics of the destination, promotional impact, and the other influencing variables. The result of this research indicates that the motivation to do anime pilgrimage is to satisfy their needs of selfactualisation regarding their idealism about deeper understanding of Lucky Star. Local communities on anime pilgrimage destination could make use of this by holding Lucky Star events.

Pada tahun 2021 We Are Social mengumumkan bahwa YouTube telah menjadi media sosial teraktif di Indonesia. Pada platform YouTube, semua orang dapat mengakses dan membagikan berbagai informasi melalui unggahan dari kanal pilihan mereka. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran tentang bagaimana pengaruh vlog perjalanan wisata Waseda Boys pada kanal YouTube Nihongo Mantappu terhadap para penontonnya. Kunci utamanya terletak pada kekuatan personal branding Waseda Boys sebagai Vlogger dan YouTuber di kanal YouTube Nihongo Mantappu yang memiliki ciri khas serta mampu mempegaruhi penonton dan pengikutnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan melalukan survei melalui kuesioner dan analisis tekstual dari data respon penonton vlog perjalanan Waseda Boys melalui kolom komentar pada unggahan vlog Waseda Boys di YouTube serta respon penonton yang dikemukakan di Twitter. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa kuatnya personal branding Waseda Boys berhasil memancing keinginan penontonnya di YouTube untuk berwisata ke Jepang serta informasi yang disampaikan melalui unggahannya menjadi sumber informasi terkait wisata Jepang yang dapat diandalkan oleh calon wisatawan yang ingin berwisata ke Jepang. ......In 2021 We Are Social announced that YouTube became the most actively used social media in Indonesia. In YouTube platform, everyone can access and share a wide variety of information through uploads from the channel of their choice. This research provides an overview of how the Waseda Boys travel vlog on the Nihongo Mantappu YouTube channel affects the audience. The main key lies in the strength of Waseda Boys’ personal branding as a Vlogger and YouTuber on Nihongo Mantappu YouTube channel that has a unique characteristic and can influence the audience and subcribers. The study used quantitative methods by conducting surveys through questionnaires and textual analysis of Waseda Boys' travel vlog audience’s response data through the comments field on the post. This study found that the strength of Waseda Boys' personal branding succeeded in provoking the desire of viewers on YouTube to travel to Japan and the information conveyed through their uploads became a reliable source of information related to Japanese tourism for potential tourists who want to travel to Japan.
