ABSTRAK
Skripsi ini mengangkat sebuah penelitian tentang kesalahan cara baca dan kesalahan pemaknaan dalam proses identifikasi kosakata kanji yang terjadi pada kegiatan membaca nyaring oleh mahasiswa Program Studi Jepang FIB UI angkatan 2007 yang telah menyelesaikan seluruh mata kuliah keterampilan bahasa Jepang. Penelitian dilakukan dengan tes baca teks disertai wawancara mendalam terhadap para responden untuk mengetahui proses kognitif yang terjadi. Analisis kesalahan sendiri membuktikan bahwa kemampuan memaknai dan kemampuan melafalkan sebuah kosakata kanji secara kognitif berdiri terpisah. Temuan yang didapat adalah klasifikasi tipologi kesalahan fonetis dan kesalahan semantis masing-masing meliputi bentuk-bentuk kesalahan dan faktor penyebabnya.
ABSTRACT
This thesis is raised on a case study of word reading miscue and word meaning miscue during the process of identifying kanji vocabularies occurred in reading aloud test by students of the FIB UI Japanese Studies Program 2007 class, who have completed all Japanese language skill courses. The study was conducted with a text reading and followed up by in-depth interviews to the respondents to determine the cognitive processes that occur. Analysis of the miscue itself proves that the ability to interpret and the ability to pronounce a kanji vocabulary cognitively stand apart. The finding obtained from research is the classification of types of phonetic errors and semantic errors each, covering the forms of error and factors.

ABSTRAK
Berdasarkan kaidahnya, furigana merupakan cara baca dari sebuah kanji. Namun dalam banyak karya sastra terdapat banyak penulisan furigana yang berbeda dengan kaidahnya. Hal ini tentunya mempersulit pemelajar bahasa Jepang dalam memahami kanji. Skripsi ini membahas tentang penulisan furigana yang berbeda dalam komik Salad Days. Penelitian ini menjabarkan berbagai contoh dalam sebuah penelitian kualitatif yang berdasarkan pada analisis komponen makna serta dikuatkan dengan teori makna kontekstual untuk menjelaskan fungsi dari penulisan furigana yang berbeda pada suatu kanji. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa perbedaan penulisan tersebut digunakan sebagai unsure pendeskripsian untuk menjelaskan sebuah kata ataupun maksud yang ingin disampaikan.
ABSTRACT
Based on its basic understanding, furigana is a way to pronounce kanji. But many Japanese literatures contain a number of furigana writings which are different from their basic rules. This issue has certainly created some predicament for Japanese language learners in understanding kanji. The focus of this study is the distinct furigana writing in Salad Days comic. This study describes various examples of a qualitative study based on componential analysis enforced with a theory of contextual meaning to explain the functions of the different furigana writing of kanji. The results of this study shows that the differences in furigana writing are used as an element of description to explain a word or an intent to be conveyed.

Gempa Bumi Besar Jepang Timur dan Tsunami Maret 2011 telah mempengaruhi perkembangan ekonomi dan industri di Jepang. Industri pariwisata merupakan salah satu industri yang terkena dampak bencana tersebut. Skripsi ini membahas mengenai dampak yang diakibatkan gempa bumi dan tsunami terhadap pertumbuhan pariwisata Jepang, khususnya pada inbound dan outbound, hingga akhir tahun 2012. Penelitian ini merupakan kajian kepustakaan dengan metode deskriptif analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemerintah Jepang melalui berbagai upaya dan kebijakannya di bidang pariwisata mampu merekonstruksi wilayah Tohoku dan memulihkan pariwisata di wilayah tersebut. Jepang bahkan berhasil meningkatkan rasio pertumbuhan pariwisata nasional secara positif. ......The Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami March 2011 has affected the economic and industry growth in Japan. Tourism industry is one of the industries affected by the disaster. The focus of this study is about the impacts of earthquake and tsunami on Japanese tourism growth, especially inbound and outbound tourism, until the end of fiscal year 2012. This study is a literature review using descriptive-analytical method. The result shows that Japanese government, through various efforts and act, was able to reconstruct Tohoku and recover Japanese tourism in the affected area. Japan even succeeded to increase the growth rate of national tourism positively.

ABSTRAK
Skripsi ini membahas peran otaku dalam perkembangan doujinshi melalui Comic Market yang merupakan pasar doujinshi terbesar yang diadakan di Tokyo, Jepang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif analisis. Penelitian tentang otaku dalam tulisan ini diambil dari perspektif bisnis yang diungkapkan oleh Nomura Research Institute. Otaku dalam tulisan ini digambarkan sebagai 'enthusiastic consumer', orang yang sangat antusias terhadap bidang yang menjadi hobi dan kegemarannya, serta memiliki ciri-ciri psikologis yang unik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa otaku berperan dalam perkembangan doujinshi melalui tiga hal, yaitu dari segi kreativitas, koleksi, dan komunitas.
ABSTRACT
The focus of this study is the role of otaku in the development of doujinshi through Comic Market which is the biggest doujinshi convention held in Tokyo, Japan. Otaku in this research is viewed from business perspective which was revealed by Nomura Research Institute. Otaku, known as enthusiastic consumer, are the people who devote themselves in their hobby and interest, and possess unique psychological characteristics. The result of this research indicates that otaku have three major roles in the development of doujinshi, namely creativity, collection, and community.

Skripsi ini membahas tentang fenomena ojōman dalam masyarakat Jepang. Tujuan penelitian untuk memaparkan fenomena ojōman di Jepang serta melihat ojōman dari sudut pandang maskulinitas umum dan juga maskulinitas yang ada di Jepang. Penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan metode deskripsi analisis ini difokuskan pada pemuda Jepang usia 20?34 tahun. Ojōman terbebas dari stereotip pria dengan maskulinitas yang berbeda. Perbedaan karakter ojōman dengan gambaran pria Jepang yang maskulin membawa pengaruh dan pandangan yang tidak hanya negatif tetapi juga positif dalam masyarakatnya Jepang.
ABSTRACT
This thesis is made to explain about ojōman phenomenon in Japan's society. The main purpose of this research is to explain ojōman phenomenon itself and to compare ojōman with masculinity concept in general. It also compared with the view from Japanese masculinity. This qualitative research is using analytical description method which focused to Japanese young man age 20-34. Ojōman is free from man's stereotype expectation with different code of masculinity. The difference between ojōman character and the image of Japanese masculinity not only emerge the positive side of impact and opinion but also the negative one.

ABSTRAK
Nilai estetika kawaii dimanifestasikan secara luas di Jepang. Pelaku dunia hiburan Jepang, seperti Johnny's memanfaatkan nilai estetika kawaii untuk menarik perhatian orang-orang. Upaya Johnny's Jimusho dalam memunculkan nilai estetika kawaii sebagai salah satu strategi promosi aidoru (idola) tercermin dalam performa Arashi. Pada akhir skripsi akan terlihat bahwa nilai estetika kawaii yang menonjol pada Arashi ialah kawaii yang mengandung aspek kekanak-kanakan. Nilai estetika kawaii tersebut dimunculkan melalui tingkah laku, pakaian, setting studio dan video klip, serta tampilan pada layar program televisi.
ABSTRACT
The Japanese widely manifest the kawaii aesthetic. Talent agency in Japanese entertainment world such as Johnny's Jimusho use the kawaii aesthetic to attract people. As one of the aidoru (idol) strategy promotion, Johnny's Jimusho's effort to show the kawaii aesthetic reflected on Arashi performance. In the end of the research, it appears that Johnny?s Jimusho often show the childish aspect of kawaii trough Arashi. The kawaii aesthetic in Arashi showed through their behavior, clothes, the setting of studio and music video, and graphics that appear on television programs.

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai bentuk dan konteks tindak tutur ekspresif bahasa Jepang pada anime Spy X Family. Penelitian dengan metode kualitatif ini menggunakan teori tindak tutur yang dikemukakan oleh J.L. Austin yang kemudian disempurnakan oleh John R. Searle. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi bentuk tindak tutur ekspresif anime Spy X Family beserta penggunaannya. Tindak tutur ekspresif yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini adalah tindak tutur ekspresif meminta maaf, berterima kasih, penyesalan, dan menyambut. Adapun tindak tutur meminta maaf dan berterima kasih merupakan tindak tutur yang lebih banyak ditemukan dan penggunaan kedua tindak tutur memiliki variasi yang beragam, Keberagaman pilihan tindak tutur ini dalam percakapan sehari-sehari bergantung pada konteks situasi dan kedudukan sosial mitra tutur. ......This study discusses the form and context of Japanese expressive speech acts in the anime Spy X Family. This qualitative research uses the theory of speech acts put forward by J.L. Austin, which was later perfected by John R. Searle. The purpose of this research is to identify the forms of expressive speech acts in the anime Spy X Family and their uses. The expressive speech acts found in this study are those of apologizing, thanking, regretting, and welcoming. The speech acts of apologizing and thanking are more commonly found, and the use of the two speech acts has various variations. The diversity of these speech acts in everyday conversation depends on the context of the situation and the social position of the speech partners.

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai jenis dan makna metafora yang terkandung dalam lirik lagu dari tujuh lagu yang dipilih dalam album “Kessoku Band” yang diputarkan dalam anime “Bocchi the Rock!”. Penelitian dengan metode penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan teori dan metode analisis metafora Knowles dan Moon. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi jenis metafora, serta mengetahui dan menjelaskan makna metafora yang terdapat pada lirik lagu-lagu tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa metafora kreatif merupakan metafora yang paling sering digunakan dari total 42 metafora yang ditemukan. Untuk dapat memahami sebagian besar makna metafora dalam lirik lagu ketujuh lagu tersebut diperlukan diperlukan pengetahuan konteks anime “Bocchi the Rock!”. Hal tersebut karena metafora kreatif lebih banyak digunakan dibandingkan metafora konvensional oleh penulis lirik untuk menyampaikan pesan/perasaan berdasarkan sudut pandang dan kejadian-kejadian yang dialami tokoh Bocchi dalam anime “Bocchi the Rock!”. ......This study discusses the types and meanings of metaphors contained in the song lyrics of seven selected songs in the album “Kessoku Band” that are played in the anime “Bocchi the Rock!”. This qualitative research uses Knowles and Moon's metaphor theory and their metaphor analysis method. The purpose of this study is to identify the types of metaphors, as well as to know and explain the meaning of the metaphors contained in the lyrics of the songs. The results of this study show that creative metaphor is the most frequently used metaphor of a total of 42 metaphors found. To understand most of the metaphorical meanings in the lyrics of the seven songs, it is necessary to know the context of the anime "Bocchi the Rock!". This is because creative metaphors are used more than conventional metaphors by the lyricists to convey messages/feelings based on the point of view and events experienced by the character Bocchi in the anime "Bocchi the Rock!".

Penelitian ini membahas variasi tuturan direktif Bahasa Jepang dalam surat elektronik oleh penutur jati kepada penutur non-jati Bahasa Jepang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memaparkan variasi tindak tutur direktif yang terdapat dalam surat elektronik. Data berupa surat elektronik yang berkaitan dengan pekerjaan, diperoleh dari penutur non-jati Bahasa Jepang (penutur jati Bahasa Indonesia) sebagai penerima pesan yang pernah menerima surat elektronik dari penutur jati Bahasa Jepang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan sosiolinguistik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penutur jati Bahasa Jepang cenderung menyampaikan tuturan direktif dalam bentuk tidak langsung karena dilatarbelakangi oleh kesadaran identitas soto (luar kelompok) dan uchi (dalam kelompok) dalam masyarakat penutur jati Bahasa Jepang. ...... This research discusses variations of Japanese directive speech acts in e-mail by native Japanese speaker to non-native Japanese speaker. The purpose of this research is to describe variations of directive speech act which is written in e-mail. The data are e-mails that relates to the request for doing some works and were gained from non-native Japanese speaker who had received e-mails from native Japanese speaker. This research is a qualitative research using a Sosiolinguistics approach. The result of this research shows that native Japanese speakers tend to use indirect directive act because the subconsciousness of the native Japanese speaker of soto (outside group) and uchi (inside group).

Tesis ini membahas bentuk humor dalam bahasa Jepang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang membahas dan memaparkan humor dalam komik strip bahasa Jepang. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis bentuk-bentuk tuturan yang memicu terbentuknya humor pada komik strip, menganalisis makna gambar dan relevansinya dalam membentuk humor pada komik strip dan merumuskan bentuk humor dalam bahasa Jepang. Data penelitian ini adalah komik strip Shin Kobochan karya Masashi Ueda jilid 28, 29 dan 30 yang diterbitkan pada tahun 2014 oleh penerbit Houbunsha. Teori yang dipakai adalah teori implikatur Grice untuk mengungkapkan makna tersirat tuturan, teori ikonisitas Danesi dan Peron serta teori proses semiosis Perice untuk memaknai gambar dan Teori Relevansi Sperber dan Wilson untuk melihat relevansi antartuturan dan antara tuturan dengan gambar dalam membentuk humor. Hasil penelitan menunjukkan bahwa tuturan-tuturan pembentuk humor dapat berupa tuturan langsung dan tuturan tidak langsung. Tuturan-tuturan tersebut tidak hanya menyampaikan makna tersurat, tetapi juga mengandung makna tersirat. Gambar menampilkan penutur dan mitra tutur melakukan suatu aktifitas tertentu yang diperlukan dalam proses penarikan kesimpulan sehingga makna pesan yang dikomunikasikan dapat ditemukan. Pada akhirnya, humor pada komik strip berbahasa Jepang dibentuk oleh adanya perbedaan topik pembicaraan, perbedaan logika dan kontradiksi logika penutur dan mitra tutur.;
ABSTRACT
This thesis discusses the form of humor in Japanese. This study is a qualitative research that discusses and explains humor in strip comic. The aims of this research to analyze the forms of utterance that triggered the formation of humor in strip comic, analyze the meaning of images and their relevance‟s in shaping the humor in strip comic, and define a form of humor in Japanese. The data of this study are taken from ?Shin Kobochan? strip comic by Masashi Ueda volume 28, 29 and 30, published in 2014 by Houbunsha. The theories employed in this study are Grice‟s implicatures theory which aims to reveal the implicit meaning of the utterances, Danesi and Peron‟s iconicity theory, Perice‟s theory of semiosis process, which aim to interpret the images and Sperber and Wilson‟s relevance theory, which aims to see the relevance between the speech and the images in the form of humor utterances. The results show that the humor utterances can be in the form of direct and indirect speech. Those utterances not only convey explicit meaning, but also reveal some implicit meaning. Images showing the speaker and hearer performing certain activity are required in the process of understanding the whole humor, so that the communicated meaning and the message can be found. At last, humor in Japanese strip comic is created by topic differences, logical differences, and logical contradiction between the speaker and the hearer.;This thesis discusses the form of humor in Japanese.
