ABSTRACT
Ada beberapa alasan mengapa proyek ini diusulkan. Kebutuhan teknologi lokalisasi memotivasi orang untuk membuat beberapa penelitian. Dan ini adalah bagian dari penelitian tentang bagaimana untuk melokalisasi objek bergerak di area spesifik . Beberapa kasus ketika sensor lain tidak dapat bekerja untuk mengidentifikasi posisi objek , misalnya di ruang gelap , sistem ini akan sangat membantu untuk melokalisasi objek yang bergerak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melokalisasi mobile station dengan menggunakan teknologi ultra- wideband (UWB). Lima BTS diperlukan untuk melokalisasi stasiun bergerak dalam tiga dimensi . Setiap base station mengirim sinyal kode mereka dari Pseudo Random Binary urutan ( PRBS ) dan dipengaruhi oleh modulasi BPSK . Pada penerima, sinyal yang diterima di cross berkorelasikan dengan sinyal referensi dari setiap base station. Oleh karena itu, jarak antara base station dan mobile station dapat ditentukan oleh Time Difference Of Arrival teknik ( TDOA ). Penelitian ini menggunakan dua skenario , yang pertama adalah skenario untuk mengamati efek saluran dan yang kedua adalah untuk mengamati efek antena . Simulasi dilakukan dengan MATLAB dengan menambahkan beberapa karakteristik yang mewakili kondisi riil . Karacteristic yang akan memberikan pengaruh terhadap kinerja lokalisasi , seperti kebisingan (noise), model saluran dan efek antena. Kinerja dua skenario dianalisis untuk menghitung kesalahan lokalisasi dalam fungsi noise , channel UWB 802.15.3a dan efek antena. Bagian terakhir dari percobaan adalah prinsip kerja simulasi dalam kondisi yang sebenarnya.
ABSTRACT
There are several reasons why this project is proposed. The necessity of localization technology motivates people to make some research. And this is the part of research about how to localize in the specific area. Some case when other sensor cannot work to identify object’s position, for example in the dark room, this system will be helpful to localize mobile station. The objective of this research is to localize mobile station by using ultra wideband technology. Five base stations are needed to localize the mobile station in three dimensions. Each base station sends their code signal of Pseudo Random Binary Sequence (PRBS) and modulated by BPSK modulation. At the receiver, the signal received is cross correlated by reference signal from each base station. Hence, the distance between base station and mobile station can be determined by Time Difference Of Arrival technique (TDOA). This research uses two scenarios, the first one is scenario to observe channel effect and the second one is to observe antenna effect. Simulation is done by MATLAB by adding some characteristic that represent the real condition. Those caracteristic will give the influence to the performance of localization, such as noise, channel model and antenna effect. The performance of two scenario is analyzed to calculate the error localization in the function of noise, channel UWB 802.15.3a and antenna effect. The last part of experiment is to applicate the simulation into real condition.

Meningkatnya interaksi manusia dengan komputer, perangkat teknologi dan jaringan, telah membawa pada kebutuhan akan adanya sistem lokalisasi multi divais pada sebuah area tertentu. Akan tetapi, saat ini belum ada sistem yang cukup tangguh, yang mampu melakukan lokalisasi divais dengan akurasi yang baik, dengan toleransi kurang dari 10 cm. Dalam konteks ini, kami meneliti sebuah teknik yang inovatif dalam usaha lokalisasi dalam ruangan yang berbasis komunikasi nirkabel, WiFi. Tantangannya adalah bagaimana cara melakukan lokalisasi divais tanpa melakukan modifikasi pada perangkat divais, baik itu perangkat keras dan lunak, juga pada perangkat jaringannya. Dan dalam rangkan menjawab tantangan itu, kami mengembangkan sistem lokalisasi dalam ruangan ini. Proyek yang saya kerjakan ini khusus melakukan capture MAC address dari setiap divais yang berada pada lingkup area tertentu. Proyek ini menggunakan LabView sebagai bahasa pemrograman, dan NI-USRP dari National Instrument sebagai perangkat kerasnya.

The increase of human interaction to gadgets, computers and networks, has needed an ability to localize multi devices or gadgets in a certain area. But nowadays, no robust technology can estimate a position and localization with sufficient accuracy (<10cm). In this context, we wish to study the technique of indoor localization system based on innovative approach of communication media wireless (WiFi). The challenge is how to define multi devices localization without any modification in hardware, software and wireless device. To answer this challenge, we need to develop a system of internal localization. The potential impact of this solution is significant to the general public, to extent that these networks are very common.
