"Demokrasi yang mempromosikan nilai kesetaraan, keadilan, rasionalitas dan imparsialitas menghadapi tantangan yang bersumber dari praktik penggunaan kesalehan agama. Aktor politik yang bersaing dalam kontestasi politik melakukan komodifikasi dengan cara mengekstensifkan kesalehan mereka dalam praktik penggunaan bahasa. Media sosial salah satunya Twitter menjadi kanal ekstensi kesalehan mereka. Praktik komodifikasi ini menjadikan agama/kesalehan sebagai alat memenangkan kontestasi politik, termasuk kontestasi presiden dan wakil presiden 2019. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi praktik komodifikasi ekstensi kesalehan aktor politik dalam kontestasi pemilihan 2019. Tujuan detail penelitian ini adalah: (1) Menemukan bentuk-bentuk komodifikasi ekstensi kesalehan calon presiden dan wakil presiden tahun 2019 dalam pesan-pesan yang mengandung komodifikasi ekstensi kesalehan Islam selama kontestasi pemilihan presiden 2019 melalui penggunaan bahasa di akun Twitter mereka; (2) Menggambarkan aspek-aspek kesalehan Islam yang dikomodifikasi oleh calon presiden dan wakil presiden tahun 2019 selama masa kontestasi pemilihan presiden 2019 melalui penggunaan bahasa di akun Twitter mereka; (3) Menggambarkan orientasi calon presiden dan wakil presiden tahun 2019 dalam pesan-pesan yang mengandung komodifikasi ekstensi kesalehan selama masa kontestasi pemilihan presiden 2019 melalui penggunaan bahasa di akun Twitter mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan konsep Komodifikasi Mosco. Konsep ini menjadi pintu masuk dalam kajian ekonomi politik kritikal. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode Analisis Multimodalitas terhadap pesan kandidat calon presiden dan wakil presiden 2019, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa aktor politik melakukan komodifikasi ekstensi kesalehan dalam bentuk: Komodifikasi Developmentalisme Berbasis-Kesalehan, Komodifikasi ekstensi kesalehan personal-berorientasi sosial, komodifikasi ultra-nasionalisme Berbasis Islamisme, komodifikasi Negara-Sejahtera berdasarkan Islamisme. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa komodifikasi ini dengan komodifikasi kesalehan instrumental dalam politik Indonesia. Komodifikasi ini tidak menempatkan kesalehan sebagai tujuan. Sebaliknya, kesalehan sebagai alat untuk tujuan sebenarnya. Dalam kontestasi politik, komodifikasi ini memproduksi nilai tukar elektoral melalui ekstensi komoditas imaterial kesalehan yang berpotensi meningkatkan elektoral. Aktor politik melakukan Komodifikasi kesalehan instrumental melalui peneguhan kapital mereka dan mengasosiasikannya dengan komoditas imaterial kesalehan. Democracy that promotes the values of equality, justice, rationality, and impartiality faces challenges stemming from the practice of using religious piety. Political actors who compete in political contestations carry out commodification by extending their piety in the practice of language usage. Social media (in this case Twitter) transmit their piety extensions. This commodification practice makes religion/piety a tool to win political contestations, including the 2019 presidential and vice-presidential contests. This study aims to evaluate the practice of commodifying the piety extension of political actors in the 2019 election contestation. There are four objectives in this research. They are (1) to Find forms of commodification of the piety extensions of the 2019 president and vicepresident candidates in their messages containing the commodification of Islamic piety extensions during the 2019-presidential election contestation through the use of language on their Twitter accounts; (2) to describe aspects of Islamic piety commodified by the 2019 president and vice-president candidates during the 2019 presidential election contestation through the use of language on their Twitter accounts; (3) to describe the orientation of the 2019 president and vice-president candidates in their messages containing the commodification of piety extensions during the 2019 presidential election contestation period through the use of language on their Twitter accounts. This study uses the concept of Commodification introduced by Vincent Mosco. This concept becomes an entry point in the study of critical political economy, including the political economy of communication). By using a qualitative approach and the Multimodality Analysis method toward political candidate's postings, this study find that political actors commodify Islamic piety extensions which are categorized into four models. They are commodification of piety-based developmentalism, commodification of socialoriented personal piety, commodification of Islamism-based Ultranationalism, commodification of Islamism-based Welfare State. The study concludes that this commodification with the commodification of instrumental piety in Indonesian politics. This commodification does not place piety as a goal but as an instrument to their political goals. In a political contest, this commodification produces an electoral exchange rate through the extension of the immaterial commodity of piety that has the potential to increase electoral power. Political actors carry out the commodification of instrumental piety through strengthening their capital and associating it with the immaterial commodity of piety. Their capitals as political candidate interplay with piety"

Pesatnya pertumbuhan media sosial membawa banyak perubahan. Dengan
karakternya yang berbeda dengan media lama, media sosial membuka banyak
kemungkinan, termasuk bagi representasi identitas lokal. Seperti komunitas
Banyumas, mereka menjadikan media sosial sebagai ruang baru untuk
menunjukkan identitasnya. Sebuah pertanyaan mengemuka, apakah kehadiran
media sosial yang berkarakter global akan melemahkan identitas lokal, atau
sebaliknya justru memperkuatnya.Penelitian ini mencoba melihat transformasi
identitas komunitas Banyumas dari ranah offline ke online, dengan melihat
bagaimana realitas kontemporer praktik kebahasaan orang Banyumas dalam
kehidupan sehari-hari dan di media sosial. Pengamatan praktik kebahasaan di
media sosial dikhususkan pada pesan-pesan terpilih di blog, Twitter, dan
Facebook. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan teori Pierre Bourdieu yang
melihat identitas sebagai sebuah kontestasi dalam sebuah ranah dinamis. Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakter dasar orang Banyumas seperti cablaka,
penjorangan, dan dopokan, tergambar kuat dalam berbagai pesan di media sosial.
Uniknya, pesan-pesan ini banyak yang ditampilkan secara kreatif, sebagai bentuk
adaptasi karakter media sosial. Sebagai sebuah kontestasi, representasi identitas
lokal dipengaruhi oleh relasi antara ranah, habitus, dan modal. Ranah
menunjukkan setting media sosial itu sendiri. Sedangkan habitus ditunjukkan oleh
kecenderungan yang berbeda di antara para pengguna Banyumas dengan latar
belakang yang beragam. Sementara modal, ditandai kepemilikan modal yang
berbeda, baik yang berupa modal sosial, budaya, simbolik, maupun modal
ekonomi. Secara teoritis, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan perbedaan nilai dan
kekuatan modal, antara realitas offline dan online. Jika di ranah online, modal
ekonomi menjadi dominan perannya, maka di ranah online, modal simbolik lebih
berperan. Secara praktis, hasil penelitan ini menumbuhkan optimisme bahwa
identitas lokal akan terus bertahan, bahkan menguat, di era media sosial.;

The rapid growth of social media brings many changes. Distinguishing characters
with the old one, social media opens many possibilities, including the
representation of local identity. For instance, Banyumas community uses social
media as a new space to show their identity. A question arose whether the
presence of social media which has global character may weaken or strengthen
their local identities instead. This study tries to figure out the transformation of
identity of Banyumas community from offline to online field, by paying more
attention on how the contemporary reality of Banyumas people‟s linguistic
practices in their daily life and in social media is. The Observation on linguistic
practices in social media particularly focuses on the selected messages available in
blogs, Twitter, and Facebook. The analyses were conducted using Pierre Bourdieu
theories that viewed identity as a contestation within a dynamic field. The results
showed that the basic characters of the Banyumas people, such as cablaka,
penjorangan, and dopokan, were strongly reflected in various messages available
in social media. These messages were uniquely displayed in creative ways, as
forms of character adaptation in social media. As contestation, the representation
of local identity was influenced by the relationship between field, habitus, and
capitals. Field showed the setting of social media itself. Habitus were shown by
the different tendencies among users of Banyumas with different backgrounds.
Capitals were marked by the possession of different capitals, either in the form of
social, cultural, symbolic, or economic capital. Theoretically, the results of this
study showed differences in values and capital powers, between offline and online
reality. If in online field, the economic capital had the dominant roles, the
symbolic capital had more roles. Practically, the results of this study grow
optimism that local identity will surely survive and even be stronger in the era of

Penelitian ini bertujuan, pertama menemukan konstruksi isu kampanye politik oleh media lokal mandiri dan lokal berjejaring dan perbedaan antar dua media terkait hal tersebut. Kedua, menemukan frame primordialisme dalam kontestasi calon Gubernur yang dibangun oleh media lokal mandiri dan lokal berjejaring dan perbedaan di antara dua media terkait hal tersebut. Ketiga, menjelaskan kaitan antara frame media yang terbangun dengan karakteristik lembaga media dan proses produksi media.Penelitian ini menggunakan kerangka berpikir yang berangkat dari konsep-konsep primordialisme, dihubungkan dengan konsep konstestasi politik lokal, teori model menejemen media, teori konsentrik, teori tekanan pada komunikator media. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah melalui analisis framing model Entman, in depth interview dengan pihak yang terkait dengan proses produksi dan studi literatur untuk sumber-sumber skunder. Informan penelitian berjumlah empat belas orang..Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa media dalam dinamika politik lokal di era reformasi memframe unsur primordialisme dalam dua bentuk: diferensiasi dan asosiatif. Frame diferensiasi, membingkai unsur primordialisme untuk memberikan penonjolan bahwa kandidat yang diberitakan memiliki karakter yang berbeda dengan kandidat lainnya. Frame asosiatif, menggunakan unsur primordialisme untuk memberikan penonjolan dengan mengasosiasikan kandidat seorang yang mempunyai kapasitas ulama. Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan konsep primordialisme digunakan dalam dua frame . Pertama, sebagai keterikatan atas dasar lsquo;domisili rsquo; dan lsquo;rekam jejak pengabdian pada publik rsquo;, sebagai inisiasi lsquo;membawa rsquo; unsur primordialisme kearah soft primordialism. Kedua, sebagai keterikatan atas dasar suku atau kelahiran yang akan cenderung akan membangkitkan loyalitas komunal, sebagai hard primordialism. Frame yang dilakukan oleh media ditemukan memiliki kaitan dengan kelembagaan media, yaitu lsquo;Kalimantan Post rsquo; cenderung menjalankan ldquo;model semi public sphere rdquo;, Media ini lebih menonjolkan isu rasional. Sedangkan lsquo;Radar Banjarmasin rsquo; menjalankan model pasar, isinya mengusung isu primordialisme sebagai komoditas

ABSTRACT
Purpose of this study, first to find the construction of political campaign issues by local independent media and local networking media, and the differences between each media related to this issues. Second, to find the frame of primordialism in the contestation of governor candidates that constructed by local independent media and local networking media, and the differences between each media related to this issues. Third, to explain the relationship between the media frame that constructed with the characteristics of media institutions and media production process.This study uses a framework that originates from primordial concept, related to the concept of local political contestation, media management model theory, concentric theory, pressure theory on media communicator. This study is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique used is through Entman Model Framing Analysis, in depth interview with parties that related to production process and literature study for secondary sources. With a total of 14 informants.The result found that the media in the local political dynamics in reform era was framing primordialism element in two forms differentiation and associative. Differentiation frame, framing the elements of primordialism to provide a projection that the candidate who was preached has a different character with the other candidates. Associative frame, using elements of primordialism to provide a projection by associating a candidate who has the capacity of clerics. This study found the concept of primordialism is used in two frames. First, as an attachment on the basis of lsquo domicile rsquo and lsquo track record of public service rsquo , as the inititation of lsquo bringing rsquo primordialism element towards soft primordialism. Second, as a tribal or birth attachment that would tend to generate communal loyalty, as hard primordialism. Framing by the media have been found to be related to media institutions, which is lsquo Kalimantan Post rsquo tend to run lsquo semipublic sphere model rsquo , this media is more accentuated rational issues. While lsquo Radar Banjarmasin rsquo runs the market model, which its content carries the primordialism issues as a commodity."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi penyelarasan bingkai pada gerakan separatisme media sosial dengan melakukan studi pada #FreeWestPapua di Twitter. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode analisis jaringan media sosial dan analisis pembingkaian untuk big data menggunakan topic model pada 27.126 kata yang digunakan untuk melakukan pembingkaian serta melakukan uji signifikansi terhadap keselarasan bingkai pada jaringan #FreeWestPapua. Hasil pelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa keempat jenis strategi penyelarasan bingkai Snow ditemukan pada jaringan #FreeWestPapua di Twitter. Keempat strategi penyelarasan pembingkaian yang ditemukan pada jaringan tersebut ada;ah strategi penyelarasan bingkai dengan cara menjembatani antar bingkat, strategi frame amplification, frame extention dan frame transformation. Sementara berdasarkan analisis korelasi keselarasan bingkai tersebut menunjukkan signifikansi negatifyang menunjukkan keberadaan bingkai diagnostik.
This study aims to determine the frame alignment strategy separatism movement on social media by conducting a study on #FreeWestPapua on Twitter. The research was conducted using social media network analysis methods and framing analysis for big data using a topic model of 27,126 words used for framing and testing the significance of frame alignment on the #FreeWestPapua network. The results of this study found that all four types of Snow frame alignment strategies are found on the #FreeWestPapua network on Twitter. They are frame bridging, frame amplification, frame extention and frame transformation. Meanwhile, based on the correlation analysis, the alignment of the frame shows a negative significance which indicates the existence of a diagnostic frame."
