"Anti rat amniotic protein antibody was developed by immunization of rabbits with total rat amniotic protein as antigen in Freund's adjuvant. This antibody could react with both male rat serum and amniotic proteins. To obtain the pure anti AFP antibody, rabbit anti serum was loaded on an affinity chromatography column which contain agarose, activated by carbodiimide, and male rat serum protein immobilized. Eluat containing protein that was not reacting with immobilized male rat serum was collected in 2 mL fractions. Each fraction was measured. The first 8 fraction give a peak. The range of protein concentration were about 0,35 - 4,51 mg/mL. The range of anti rat .AFP antibody titre were 40 - 1280. The conclusion is that the anti rat amniotic protein antibodies contain the antibody againts rat AFP. The anti rat AFP antibody could reacted or detected the AFP in amniotin fluid proteins that was not in the adult male rat serum. The conclusion is that the anti rat amniotic protein antibodies contain the antibody againts rat AFP. The anti rat AFP antibody can react or detect the AFP in the amniotic fluid protein that is not in the adult male rat serum."

"In this research it is applied a pattern recognition system by using an artificial neural networks to recognize several samples on weaving products, such as plain weave, twill weave, and sateen weave. In order to extract textural characteristics or features from sample images, it is used the Neighboring Grey Level Dependence Matrix (NGLDM)-method as proposed by Sun, which is invariant under rotation and linear grey level transformation. Five textural features i.e. Small Number Emphasis, Large Number Emphasis, Number Non uniformity, Second Moment, and Entropy will be used as the representative features of sample images. Those features are used as input to the neural networks, which have learned by the back propagation method. Baths methods (continuous and periodic) for changing the interconnection weights, and the performances of the two types of neuron transfer functions are also observed and investigated, in order to obtain an optimal network configurations. The results of experiment will be very useful for the next stage of research in designing an integrated vision system for the recognition of weaving product's quality in textile industry."

"In this research, it is designed a simple inspection model for defect detection on woven fabrics at the weaving stage of processing, based on texture analysis. Textural features that extracted by using the NGLDM (Neighboring Greylevel Dependence Matrices) from the several avail-able samples either for normal or defective weaving products, are intelligently recognized by a neural network computational system. The model is useful in textile industry, which provide woven qualities produced by weaving machines, therefore, from the defect's information one can separates those products which have different grades to be processed at the dye finishing stage, and may check previous yarn's treatment, mechanical failures, etc. The inspection system is equipped by a flatbed conveyor, a CCD camera, and a microcomputer IBM-PC/AT 386 with a Computer Eyes image grabber card. The testing results of defect detection on the available samples, indicate more than 80% of recognition level can be achieved. In the future, it is anticipated that the system may be developed, in order to reduce much more human intervention for the defect detection."

"Among twenty one isolates, obtained from "aren" (Aretga Rinnata) vinegar, 10 isolates were identified as acetic acid bacteria, belong to genus Acetobacter. Isolates no. 12 was used as inoculum for vinegar fermentation. Saccharomyces cerevisiae (Y-17) was provided by University of Indonesia Culture Collection.
Two hundred fifty grams of pineapple (Ananas comosus) peel was boiled for 1.5 hours and then filtered to obtain the extract. Aquadest was added into substrate to obtain 1 litre of extract and then added with 15% or 20% castor sugar. Substrate was sterilised at 121°C for 10 minutes.
Fermentation was carried out in syrup bottle containing 540 ml substrate. Approximately 60 ml of starter containing mix-culture with diffrent ratio of 1 day old S. cer visiae (106 cfu/ml) and 5 days old Acetobacter sp. no.12 {10 cfu/ml) was inoculated into the substrate. The ratio of yeast cells to bacteria were follow: (1:1); (2:1); (3:1} or (4:1). Fermentation was set up in room temperature (3O -- 32°C for 1 month. The concentration of acetic acid was titrated with standarised NaOH.
Result of this study showed that substrate with 15% sugar yielded (1.1 - 1.4)% acetic acid. The average acetic acid concentration from substrate with 20% sugar were (0.44 - 0.89%). It was concluded that substrate with 15% sugar gave higher concentration and the best ratio of starter was (1 : 1)."

"Purpose of Research (specific objective and/or statement of hypothesis in around 300 to400 words. Please try to avoid using an additional page). Zry-4 is an alloy of Ziconium (Zr) with alloying elements of Fe,Cr, and Sn with weight percentage of 0.2%, 0.07% and 1.5% respectively. This alloying element addition is intended to improve the mechanical properties as well as Zirconium, that is corrosive resistance at high temperature. Besides the alloying elements, the micro structural morphology of Zry-4, as results of thermomechanic treatment process, also an active role to determine mechanical, physical and corrosion properties. This alloy is used as structure and cladding materials for Pressurized water Reactor (PWR) nuclear fuel element. Zirconium alloy of Zr-702 will also be used for chemical engineering devices due to its high corrosion resistance in acid and alkali liquid as well as at high temperature. Examples of device are : Distillation Column, Reactor, Pump Housing and Heat exchanger and Heating coil due to mechanical properties at high temperature.
Some researchs have been done previously to observe changes of mechanical and corrosive properties of Zry-4 with solution treatment 0-phase, but unfortunately they are not continued between deformation degree and grain size with new precipitate is obtained. In this research we plan to carry out a cold deformation process of 0-quenching result and be continued with annealing process. From the process results we will observe the morphology of micro structure of Zry-4. This process will enable to determine the deformation level, time and temperature annealing to obtain a certain microstructure according to the desired mechanical properties (Microhardness).
Results of research can hopefully be used as input in the working process of Zry-4.Optical Microscopy, Transmission Electron Microscopy and X-Ray Diffraction will be used in the microstructure observation."

"The purpose of this research was to find other material to be alloyed to aluminum which is cheap, not a dangerous compound, which can be carted as simple as possible and should be as far as possible found in Indonesia.
Tin, zinc, and indium, are metals to be alloyed which were reported gave a better performance to aluminum sacrificial anode, although the latest mentioned is difficult to be found in Indonesia. The alloying was done by simple casting.
The investigation started with alloying aluminum with 5% Zn , and tin added in varying weights from of 0.004, 0.006, 0.008, 0.01, 0.04, 0.1, to 0.2 percent. The second was also 5% Zn and Indium in varying weights as from 0.004, 0.005, 0.02, 0.05, 0.07, to 0.08 percent.
Anode potential, cathodic protection potential, the capacity of anode, anode output, anode efficiency, the anode corrosion patron and induction time were points being investigated to know the anode performance, gained by immersed test in 3% sodium chloride solution.
The efficiency of 77 % can be obtained from 5% Zn and 0,1 % Sn aluminum alloy and for comparison, 5% Zn and 0.05% indium aluminum alloy can reach an efficiency of 86 %.
The Sn, Zn aluminum alloys, have an anode potential of -1.15 volt, cathodic protection potential -1,06 volt , capacity of 2558 A.h/kg, while the Indium, Zn aluminum alloy has -1.155 volt anode potential, capacity of 2543 Ah/kg , and anode out put of 4.76 ampere. During the immersion time Al-Zn-Sn alloys give more stable cathodic protection potential."
