Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meriyelidiki pengaruh dari faktor-faktor tertentu terhadap kinerja dari reksadana. Jumlah dari reksadana telah meningkat secara pesat pada beberapa tahun terakhir. Peningkatan ini disebabkan oleh kondisi ekonomi yang semakin membaik sejak krisis yang terjadi pada tahun 1997. Karena reksadana merupakan sebuah investasi yang menarik belakangan ini, penulis hendak menyelidiki faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja reksadana. Sampel yang diambil adalah reksadana yang dikelola oleh perusahaan-perusahaan terdaftar di Bursa Saham di Indonesia. Penulis mcnemukan 245 reksadana yang terdaftar, tapi hanya terdapat 215 reksadana yang masih bertahan hingga sekarang. Penulis memeiiksa perdagangan reksadana-reksadana tersebut dari tahun 1999-2003. Kemudian penulis menemukan hanya terdapat 36 reksadana yang diperdagangkan dari tahun 1999-2003. Dan karma ketidak lengkapan data, maka kemudian penulis hanya memperoleh 34 reksadana yang dapat dianalisa. Penulis menganalisa korelasi antara beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja reksadana yaitu: 1. Besarnya dana yang dikelola oleh manajer investasi. 2. Afiliasi dari manajer investasi, apakah ia manajer investasi lokal atau joint venture. 3. Kekhususan dari manajer investasi di dalam mengelola reksadana. 4. Umur dari reksadana itu sendiri.Penelitian ini membagi waktu penelitian menjadi 2 periode : sebelum terjadinya "booming" reksadana (tahun 1999 sampai dengan 2001) dan setelah terjadinya "booming" reksadana (tahun 2002 dan seterusnya). Indikasi terjadinya booming ditunjukkan oleh data statistik atas kinerja reksadana, khususnya peningkatan pesat atas Nilai Aktiva Bersih (NAB) dari reksadana. Dan data statistik diperoleh bahwa NAB reksadana meningkat dengan pesat di tahun 2002 dan seterusnya. This research is about the factors influencing the performance of mutual funds. The number of mutual funds has been rapidly increased for the last several years. The increasing was caused by the better economic condition since the crisis held in year 1997. Since mutual funds have become an interesting investment these days, the author would like to investigate the factors influencing the performance of mutual funds. The samples are mutual funds managed by investment companies listed in the Indonesian Stock Exchange. We found 245 mutual funds listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange, but only 215 mutual funds still exist until now. We reviewed their trading from year 1999 to year 2003. Next we found 36 mutual funds traded between years 1999 to year 2003. Because of the uncompleted data reason, we finally collected only 34 mutual funds to be analyzed. We analyzed the correlation between the factors influencing the mutual fund's performance which are : I. The size of the deposit managed by the investment company 2. The affiliation of the Investment Manager, whether it is a local or joint venture. 3. The focus of the investment company in managing the mutual fund. 4. The age of mutual funds itself.This research divides the time horizon into two periods: before the "booming" of the mutual funds (year 1999 to year 2001) and after the "booming" of the mutual funds (year 2002 and after). The booming indication arises from the statistical data of the performance of mutual funds. From the statistical chart we can see that the Net Asset Values of mutual funds were rapidly increased in year 2002 and after. |
