Abstract
Skripsi ini membahas mengenai mitos Gerwani yang tersebar dalam masyarakat sebagai pelaku dalam peristiwa pembunuhan para jenderal 30 September 1965. Melalui media surat kabar, relief di monumen Pancasila Sakti, dan Film G 30 S/PKI yang dianalisa menurut perspektif pemikiran mitologi Roland Barthes. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian refleksi kritis. Hasil dari penelitian ini memperlihatkan mitos menurut Roland Barthes, awal mula berdirinya Gerwani, kegiatan yang dilaksanakan Gerwani, hingga akhir dari Gerwani. Kemudian anlisa mitos Gerwani dari perspektif mitologi Roland Barthes yang menjelaskan bahwa mitos Gerwani yang tersebar dalam masyarakat selama ini merupakan alat untuk pencapaian kekuasaan.
This thesis focuses more specifically on the myth of Gerwani that spread on society as the main actor behind the massive murder on General on September 30, 1965. This myth was spread through several media, like newspaper, relief in Pancasila Sakti monument and the movie of G 30 S/PKI which analyzed based on the perspective of mythologies from Roland Barthes. This research could be categorized as critical reflection research. The result showing the myth according to Roland Barthes, the background of the establishment of Gerwani, and the activities of Gerwani. The analysis of Gerwani?s myth from mythologies perspective of Roland Barthes that spread in the society these times is the tool to achieve power.
