| The idea of change has been a prominent theme during Barack Obama presidential campaign and the earlier period of his adminisration. drawing from Boudieu's concept of simbolic and cultural power, this article will attemp to understand the power of culture in explaining the legacy of Bush' neoconservative policy and to argue that Obama's promise is highly promising in order to disrupt the Bush legacy and continue the transformation in U.S foreign and security policy. with regard to this need for an apparent political shift Obama's cultural capacity is subsequently translated into a more humble tone in his foreign policy rhetoric that accompanied several changes of U.S strategy of foreign and security policy |
