Tesis ini membahas mengenai perbandingan analisis dampak krisis Finansial Asia tahun 1997-1998 dan krisis Global 2008 terhadap Indonesia. Dampak krisis finansial Asia 1997-1008 terhadap Indonesia sangat besar sehingga mengganggu stabilitas social serta politik. Hal ini berbeda dengan dampak yang ditimbulkan oleh krisis global 2008 dimana dampak krisis ini hamper tidak terasa di Indonesia. Penelitian tesis ini bersifat kualitatif dan menggunakan metode kajian kepustakaan dalam pengumpulan data. Analisis komparasi dari kedua krisis ini adalah bahwa selain faktor ekonomi, faktor-faktor non-ekonomi seperti faktor politik juga turut berperan dalam menentukan besaran dampak krisis. Penekanan tesis adalah pada indikator stabilitas politik dan kontrol terhadap korupsi.

The focus of thesis is to compare the impact of Asian financial crisis 1997-1998 and Global crisis 2008 to Indonesia. The impact of the Asian financial crisis 1997-1998 was so huge to Indonesia. The crisis brings not only the economic crisis but also in the political and social sectors. The impact of the global crisis 2008 was not as big as the Asian financial crisis. The method of research is qualitative and using the documentation review as data collection method. The compare analysis of the two crises is that the impact level of the crisis was not only laid on the economic factor but also the non-economic factor, such as political factor. This thesis will highlited in the political stability and control of corruption indicator.
