Tesis ini merupakan penelitian tentang proses-proses budaya yang terjadi pada aktivitas nobar di kafe. Sebagai fenomena budaya, aktivitas ini terbentuk dari beberapa proses sosial yang relasional dan dialogis. Secara umum nobar di kafe merupakan salah satu bentuk konsumsi oleh penonton sepakbola. Namun ia juga tidak lepas dari proses lain yang memengaruhi pola konsumsi tersebut yaitu representasi, identitas, produksi dan regulasi. Pemaknaan terjadi bukan karenbobjek tetapi bagaimana objek itu dikonsumsi. Ketenangan kafe bisa berkompromi dengan keriuhan penonton sepakbola yang bisa terjadi dengan adanya sistem yang menjadikannya sebagai salah satu bentuk konsumsi penonton sepakbola.

This thesis examines the cultural processes happening in nobar in cafes. As a cultural phenomenon, this activity is formed of several relational and dialogicalvsocial processes. Generally, nobar in cafes is one of the consumption form practiced by the football viewers. However, it also cannot be separated from the other processes that influence the consumption, which are representation, identities, production and regulation. Meaning is constructed not by the object but how the object is consumed. The calm of the cafes can compromise with the excitement of football viewers that can happen with the existence of a system that turns it into one of a consumption form of football viewers.
