Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas tentang pola keletakan ragam hias yang terdapat pada mata uang koin. Objek mata uang koin yang dimaksud merupakan koleksi inventarisasi milik Museum Nasional yang berasal dari periode masa klasik, yaitu koleksi mata uang ma dan gobog. Pola keletakan ragam hias yang ada menunjukkan suatu bentuk susunan dari penggunaan ragam hias pada media mata uang koin. Sementara itu bentuk ragam hias yang ada juga menunjukkan perbedaan mengenai makna hiasan dan fungsi dari kedua jenis koin tersebut.
The research discusses about the pattern in locating ornament which is found in coin as currency. The objects of coin are inventories from National Museum which comes from classic period. Those are MA and Gobog collection. The pattern in locating ornament shows the formation of the utilizing the ornament in coin. Meanwhile, the shape of ornament also shows the differentiation between the meaning of ornament and the function for both coins.
