Penelitian tentang kerajaan di sekitar Kota Palembang telah dilakukan oleh beberapa orang ahli arkeologi dan beberapa dari disiplin ilmu lain. Namun demikian belum ada penelitian tentang lokasi pusat pemerintahan yang ditinjau dari sudut pandang ilmu geografi. Skripsi ini membahas tentang pergeseran lokasi pusat pemerintahan di Kota Palembang pada masa Sriwijaya (abad ke-7) hingga masa pemerintahan Kolonial (abad ke-20). Lokasi pusat pemerintahan kerajaan yang berada di sekitar Kota Palembang dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan bukti-bukti situs peninggalan masa lampau yang ditelusuri melalui peta dan dan pustaka sejarah. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif melalui analisis keruangan dan analisis isi. Analisis keruangan dilakukan terhadap sumber data yang berupa peta sedangkan analisis isi dilakukan untuk data yang berupa deskripsi kesejaraha. Selanjutnya hasil analisis tersebut dideskripsikan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Geografi Regional. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pusat pemerintahan yang di Kota Palembang, berada tidak jauh dari sumber air, bergerak dari arah timur kebarat kemudian bergeser kembali kesebalah barat. Adapun faktor yang mempengaruhi pergeseran lokasi pusat pemerintahan adalah faktor fisik seperti ketinggian, bentuk medan, jarak dengan sungai, serta keadaan geologi wilayah.
The research about the kingdom around the Palembang City was carried out by several people of archeology and some of the discipline of other knowledge of the expert. Nevertheless did not yet have the research about the location of the centre of the government that was inspected from the point of view of geography knowledge. This thesis discussed about the shift in the location of the centre of the government in the Palembang City in the Sriwijaya period (the 7th age) through to the government's Colonial period (the 20th age). The location of the centre of the government of the kingdom that was around the Palembang City was carried out by gathering site proof of the legacy of the past that was investigated through the map and and the history book. This research was carried out with the qualitative approach through the analysis keruangan and the analysis of the contents. The analysis keruangan was carried out towards the source of the data that took the form of the map whereas the analysis of the contents was carried out for the data that took the form of the description kesejaraha. Further results of this analysis were described by using the Regional Geography approach. Results of the research showed that the centre of the government that in the Palembang City, was was not far from the source of water, moving from the east to the west afterwards shifted again kesebalah west. As for the factor that influenced the shift in the location of the centre of the government was the physical factor like the height, the Medan form, the distance with the river, as well as the situation of territory geology. |
