This report generally discusses the design process of the cyclone filter device which has never been attempted before here in Queensland University of Technology. It is considered as a pioneer project. The approach taken in the design process was to make a filtering device which is suitable to be installed i n industrial area. The device was designed so that it can be used for laboratory purposes so that students can investigate and obtain a better understanding on separation and/or filtration mechanism in cyclone filter. The main interests in this project are the characteristics of the device and the expected performance of the device ilself. Detailed study on these characteristics and expected performance will provide useful guidelines in establishing the design requirements and the design specifications of the device. |
