Abstract
Jumlah kecelakaan lalu lintas semakin meningkat tiap tahunnya, perlu dilakukan peningkatan keamanan dalam berkendara khususnya pada sepeda motor. Roda menjadi bagian yang sangat vital dalam kemanan dan kenyamanan berkendara tetapi hingga saat ini belum ada alat ukur yang kompeten untuk mengukur roundness dan wheel alignment. Oleh sebab itu dirancanglah sebuah alat yang kompak untuk melakukan pengukuran roundness dan wheel alignment dalam satu paket alat. Dengan menggunakan strain gauges dan sinar laser yang memiliki keakuratan tinggi, maka pengukuran roundness dan wheel alignment dapat dilakukan dengan presisi. Dengan metode pengukuran dinamis maka bisa didapatkan hasil pengukuran sesuai dengan keadaan sesungguhnya saat sepeda motor melaju di jalan.
Road accident increase every year, It needs an improvement of safety riding especially on motorcycle riding. Wheel become the most important part to develop a good comfort and safety riding. Nowdays, there haven't a measuring tool which can measure accurately. For that reason there is important to create a tool that can measure problem in wheel roundness and alignment accurately. Using strain gauges to mesure roundness and laser beam to measure the alignment can answer this kind problem. With dynamic measurement method, It can represent the real condition in riding a motorcycle.
