Kecepatan pada kapal dipengaruhi oleh hambatan terhadap kapal tersebut. Mulai dari gesekan antar permukaan air, kekasaran permukaan benda, sampai dengan bentuk lambung sangat mempengaruhi hambatan total. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan hambatan pada sebuah kapal model dengan bentuk lambung tipe ?U? pada kecepatan dan kondisi pemuatan yang berbeda sehingga dapat diperoleh nilai faktor bentuk. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu dengan melakukan uji tarik kapal model di kolam renang tanpa arus. Hasil dari pengujian menunjukkan variasi kecepatan dan pemuatan kapal model tipe lambung ?U? berpengaruh pada nilai faktor bentuk yang didapatkan. Faktor bentuk dengan kondisi pemuatan 75% memiliki nilai yang lebih kecil dari kondisi pemuatan 100%. The speed of the ship is affected by the resistance of the ship. Starting from the friction between the water surface, surface roughness, until the hull shape greatly affect the total resistance. The purpose of this research is to know the difference constraints on a model ship with hull shape type "U" on the different velocity and different loading conditions to obtain the value of form factor. The method used is doing some tensile test model ship in the pool without wave. The results of this testing showed variations of velocity and loading the ship hull model type "U" effect on the value of form factor that was obtained. Form factor with 75% loading condition has a value smaller than 100% loading condition. |
