Kerugian ekonomi yang timbul akibat penyakit tuberkulosis (TB) diperkirakan mencapai Rp 8,5 triliun per tahun. Angka ini dihitung berdasarkan hari produktif yang hilang karena sakit, hari yang hilang karena meninggal dunia lebih cepat dan biaya yang harus dikeluarkan untuk pengobatan. Dengan menyadari besarnya nilai kerugian akibat penyebaran penyakit TB tersebut dapat dilakukan upaya komprehensif untuk menuntaskan pemberantasannya supaya beban ekonomi akibat penularan penyakit itu tidak terus bertambah. Data program pemberantasan penyakit tuberkulosis di Kota Administrasi Jakarta Barat menunjukkan bahwa pencapaian penemuan suspek tuberkulosis hanya sebesar 36 %. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui variabel-variabel yang mempengaruhi penemuan suspek tuberkulosis di Kecamatan Taman Sari Kota Administrasi Jakarta Barat dengan rancangan kuantitatif dan spasial. Subyek penelitian adalah penderita yang mengalami gejala utama tuberkulosis. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara wawancara dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah penemuan suspek tuberkulosis dipengaruhi oleh variabel pengetahuan. Dengan meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat akan membentuk kesadaran untuk melakukan pemeriksaan dan pengobatan. Pemeriksaan dan pengobatan sedini mungkin akan mampu mencegah dan menghindari masyarakat lain untuk terkena penyakit ini. The economic losses from the tuberculosis disease were estimated to reach about Rp. 8.5 trillion per year. This figure was calculated from the loss of productive days caused by sickness, loss of the days due to the faster death and the cost of treatment. By recognizing the loss value due to the spread of TB disease, the comprehensive eradication efforts must be done to stop or reduce economic burden caused by the transmission of the TB disease. Data of tuberculosis eradication program in West Jakarta City showed that the achievement of tuberculosis suspect case invention is only about 36 %. This research was undertaken to determine the variables that affect the invention of tuberculosis disease suspect in Sub-District Taman Sari, West Jakarta City by using quantitative and spatial design. Subject of this research were the patients who experienced the major symptoms of tuberculosis. Data were collected by interviewing the patients and giving them a questionnaire. Based on the analysis, the invention of tuberculosis suspect was influenced by variables of knowledge. The increase of the level of knowledge will increase the consciousness of society to perform examination and the treatment. Examination and treatment as early as possible will be able to prevent and avoid the other people affected by this disease. |
