Sistem monitoring radiasi terpusat berbasis komputer ini dilengkapi dengan detektor dan monitor radiasi gamma yang dipasang pada konveyor barang. Saat ada barang dengan paparan radiasi gamma akan dideteksi dan diukur paparan radiasinya dan menyalakan alarm serta display dot matriks, data pengukuran radiasi tersebut akan disimpan dalam database komputer sehingga memudahkan petugas bandara internasional untuk mengantisipasi barang masuk dari Jepang akibat terkontaminasi zat radioaktif akibat dari kecelakaan PLTN Fukushima. Disamping itu alat ini dapat digunakan untuk mengantisipasi masuknya zat radioaktif ilegal dari negara lain. Konsep pengembangan alat ini didesain dengan online monitoring yang terpusat di BAPETEN (Badan Pengawas Tenaga Nuklir) dengan stasiun monitoring di Bandara Internasional Sukarno Hatta Jakarta, Bandara Internasional Juanda Surabaya, Bandara Internasional Ngurah Rai Bali dan Bandara Internasional Polonia Medan.
