| Policies in forestry development have been based solely upo a view that forestry resources are assets of national development. The implication of such approach, among others, is that the business involved only a few people with big money. At the same time, indigenous people living in the forest can only be spectators. With the reform in all sectors, the development paradigm in forestry sector changed. The forestry development today and in the future is directed toward conservation resources rehabilitation and public participation in forestry development. This article is to expose how to involve the public in forestry development. |
