"Being-in-the-world" remind us of existential philosophies whichhave their methodological foundation in phenomenology. In this case, thematerial taken for phenomenological study is the extremely popularcomic-cartoon in the Jakarta daily newspaper POSKOTA, read byworkers in the informal sector, the majority of simple people with smallincomes and no labour - protection, probably with some elementaryschool education. The hero named DOYOK appears in a series of 6pictures.The cartoon-comics is a combination of humorous drawing-cartoonas a from of social comment presented as a series of pictures-comicswith caricatural content, implying some measure of distortion. 114cartoon-comics between 31/12/1988 and 2?/11/1989 are chosen whichwere listed according to the elements constituting the humor of thiscartoons following the theory proposed by A.
